Love it but having to return as tangles up large items
I absolutely love this dryer, once i got my head around how to use & the cycles, especially the sensor drying option and the large drum compared to my last dryer that broke.I had to do without a dryer waiting for this to be delivered because none of the ÍøÆغÚÁÏ options for sooner delivery or having it installed were available but installing it myself was really easy. However regrettably I am having to return for the following reasons:1) the start switch is really hard to press, it’s not a button but just part of the flat screen, the dryer actually lifts up as I have to press it that hard, I don’t think that it is going to be very long wearing.2) although it says there’s a 10 kg drum which is needed for my large family, there are only two of the cycle options that you can use for 10 kg of washing – see photo I’ve attached on where I’ve highlighted the two.You will see that the other cycles you can only put 4 or 2 kg of washing in, this is no good when my washer is a 9 kg & we are a large family!3) the main reason for me returning is that when drying bedding, even single sheets, within a few minutes it wraps them up into a tight ball and at the end of the drying cycle it’s as wet in the middle as when you put it in. This is no good for a large family especially in winter when drying bedding is regular. I don’t have time to unravel it every few minutes.Having spoken to Hoover Customer Services they have said that this is due to it being a non-reversible drum and that all their models are now the same. This happens even when I put single bedding on the XXL setting which is specifically to avoid this problem and again I’ve highlighted in an attached photo. Hoover say it is not a fault so they cant fix.I am therefore regrettably having to return this and order a different make that has sensor drying with a reversible drum.I really hope that this information helps someone avoid going through the hassle that I’ve had to go through as it’s been three weeks now since my previous dryer broke.

This is for me definitely worth the money, you have lots of settings even a wool cycle, it's quiet and easy to clean out after and has a large enough drum to dry a full wash load with ease. The downsides to this dryer are as such the one touch no longer works as you download the app to connect the dryer to be given a notification that it no longer works so that function is mute. The other downside is blankets and bedding yes the dryer will dry them nicely but you do have to shake them halfway through as they will ball up during the drying cycle, this isnt a deal breaker for me as it's a small thing to have to do but it will dry everything nicely and leave your items lovely and soft. Apart from the two downsides mentioned I do love this dryer and have been using it everyday several times a day as I have kids and a dog so I do end up with more laundry than I would like. Cleaning out this dryer is so easy the lint catcher is large and simple to clean. For me this dryer has been worth the money I spent buying it.

Simply put it does not dry clothes. The moisture sensor cuts the drying off long before the articles are dry. To dry a standard quilt cover takes 3 cycles - and it's a C rating so that is not cheap. It should not ever require 6 hours in a Tumble Dryer to dry anything. The lack of Reverse Action means that after the excruciatingly long cycle the sheets/quilt covers/socks whatever are a tightly rolled up mess despite the 'Anti Crease Action' . We have suffered it for 9 months but have had to write off the purchase as a bad idea and buy a different one. Definitely one to avoid.

Vented tumble dryers are not the most energy efficient these day, but the vent for our old one was already in place, and other types of dryer seemed to suffer with condensation issues so it made sense to stick with what we knew.
Also, it's a shame that there seem to be fewer built-in options these days. I wonder why that is?
Anyway, although I've only had it a day I have used it four times already, so for what it's worth, this is what I have found:
      1) Not particularly energy efficient, but it is a vented tumble dryer, so never going to be the most energy efficient out there. We can live with that.
      2) Not very easy at first glance to decipher the various settings. No 'low, medium and high' here. We have many confusing options such as 'Small' 'XXL' 'Mix & Dry' 'One Touch' 'Sport Plus' and so on..... (see pic)
I'm sure it will all make sense after studying the instructions for a year or two. I'll come back to you on that one..........
      3) On the plus side, it is a relatively compact machine, considering it is replacing a machine that was about the same physical size, yet it takes 10Kg of clothes, 2Kg more than our old one!
      4) Another plus, it is much quieter than our old machine. I'm sure our neighbours three doors away will be much happier.
So, in summary, for a low priced machine with a fair few features, it is well worth considering. Once I get to grips with the menu options, I'm sure I will settle on two or three regularly used settings. We have yet to try the app, but doubt that we will be using it much, if at all.
Would I buy it again? Yes! Very pleased so far.
Also, the seller, Crampton And Moore, were most efficient. Their delivery estimate was spot on, and their driver phoned me twenty minutes before delivery so we were all psyched up and ready for when they arrived.
No issues whatsoever with the machine or the seller. Recommended!

Overall so far I was satisfied with the dryer - more complicated than my old one (only replaced as that was bought secondhand and was squeaking loudly), but appeared to be fine. Timer initially shows longer than my old one, but as it has "dryness" sensors it has usually taken the same time.
Today I washed bedding - king-size duvet cover (buttoned up), double fitted sheet and four pillowcases. It showed 2 hours on XXL (recommended for bedding) setting, but ended after one hour - however pillowcases were dry, but the duvet cover was wrapped inside the fitted sheet and still quite wet. Removed pillowcases, untangles the others, and reset the dryer, but after a further hour the fitted sheet was mostly dry (took it out an put it on a radiator), but the duvet cover was once again wrapped up in it and still damp! It looks as though the drum does not reverse direction, so rolls up the duvet cover, which is surprising in a modern dryer. So far the cover has been in for over two and a half hours, while the full bedding set used to be dry in an hour in my old machine. Normal laundry has been more than satisfactory, even towels, but not happy with bedding.
The supplied vent hose is also very short - the machine is adjacent to a window, but the hose is not long enough to reach! Will probably be OK venting through a wall.
