EasyMix 2-in-1 Composter

The Hozelock EasyMix 2-in-1 composter offers a shorter composting time thanks to the aeration and rotation which helps to accelerate the composting process. The nutrient-rich liquid feed is collected in the tank under the drum. Thanks to the innovative “Click & Spray” function, the user can simply connect a hose to it, to feed their garden soil with ease!

Around 40-50kg of compost will be produced with a 75% full EasyMix composter, which is suitable for a range of garden sizes.

No pests (rodents) thanks to the hermetic design. Space-saving, it will easily find a place in the garden, garage, balcony or next to recycling bins. Made from 90% recycled plastic and 100% recyclable

1. Put the waste in the composter and close the door.

2. Turn the drum to mix the waste and speed up decomposition for faster composting. It is recommended to turn the drum once or twice a week.

3. After only 6 to 8 weeks of standing, the compost is ready to be used. Roll the drum to the area to be spread.

4. Collect your liquid plant food, thanks to the “Click & Spray” tank under the composter.

5. Enrich the soil in your garden by connecting the Click & Spray tank to your garden hose.

6. Rinse the tank after use.

Fantastic for small gardens and the food waste and grass clippings a family of 4 with small London garden creates. Still to see how fast will the final compost arrive, but one comment I would have is that as long as one keeps adding 'ingredients' to it, the 2 months count from that point the last item was added to decompose. For this reason I would say a minimum of 2 such composters are needed, so that one can keep 'cooking' while you fill up the other one. Perfect little thing though, love that you can spin and mix the content and the liquid feed is a big bonus too. Great design and well made. Wouldn't mind it coming preassembled, but we managed to put it together quite easily :)

Composter is easy to assemble. I was able to do it within 20 mins with just a screwdriver. Instructions were easy to follow and many components just click into place. The unit is well designed compared to others I looked at and seems solid and sturdy. It rolls very smoothly on the wheels and I love that it collects the liquid compost for use on plants - many of the others I looked at had no mechanism to do this and just let it seep out on the ground - not very pleasant! Very clear instructions about what to add and what not to add. Doesn't take up much space and no bad smells. Perfect solution for my courtyard container garden and I can't wait to see the resulting compost in a few weeks.

I've only had this around a month so can't speak about the longevity and I haven't used the liquid fertiliser catcher, but the reason I got this was because of the rotating drum concept. Simple, yet sturdy, catch at the top allows for easy access and the whole thing runs smoothly over the plastic runners so it won't rust or corrode. It's early days for the compost but what I've put in already is turning into compost faster than the aerated bin I have next to it. I give it a turn a couple of times a week and everything tumbles nicely. The metal rods that provide the structure I'm a little sceptical about over a Scottish winter and anticipating some deterioration over a couple of years, but I doubt this will affect the design much and they can probably be replaced easily enough, should it be warranted. non vale 140 euro. la compostiera è arrivata in una scatola che sembrava avere 15 anni, sembrava un prodotto usato sicuramente non nuovo con lo scotch secco e tutta rovinata. dentro era in condizioni abbastanza buone, ma cmq viene venduta come compostiera con sistema di recupero liquidi, cosa che mi ha fatto propendere ad acquistarla al posto dei normali bidoni molto piu economici, ma in realtà il contenitore per il recupero dei liquami non è collegato alla compostiera ma solo appoggiato sotto e recupera per sgocciolamento tramite un foro ( tanto vale usare una vaschetta o un vassoio) sicuramente non è un serbatoio di raccolta per una compostiera ermetica come viene fatto credere nella descrizione del prodotto. quindi la puzza e lo sgocciolamento si hanno comunque, non vengono incanalati o raccolti con un sistema valido. in generale credevo avesse una chiusura molto piu stagna (prese d'aria a parte) visto che nella descrizione c'è scritto chiaramente che è ermetica per evitare odori e parassiti, ma non lo è per niente. anche lo sportello è piuttosto deludente e non ha una chiusura con una tenuta particolare che impedisca a insetti e odori di dare fastidio. sicuramente non la terrei in balcone.
inoltre l'ho acquistata il venerdi della settimana del prime day a 130 euro piu 8.50 di spedizione e il lunedi era scontata a 117 con spedizione gratuita. lo trovo una presa in giro, fatto presente al fornitore ha detto colpa di amazon e che da loro costava meno.

Facile a monter, solide. Ce composteur me fait bonne impression. Il est là et rempli 1/3. J'arrive à le faire tourner relativement facilement. Pas de moucherons, pas d'odeur. Pas encore de compost. Il est à l'intérieur d'une véranda non chauffée. Je ne vois que des moisissures pour l'instant et quelques gouttes d'un liquide brunâtre dans le récipient. Je reviendrai informer dès que le compost sera en bonne voie. Je me demande si il ne faudrait pas en commander un 2e pour équilibrer .
