Images in this review - Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 September 2024This is a wonderfully silly film, which is much smarter than it pretends to be. If a gag is worth making, it's worth making six different times, and when you've just forgotten it, bringing back with a nod and a wink. The story is not really the point, it's the wonderful way all the gags fit together that is so admirable.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 September 2024Rapidfire slapstick masterpiece that is more than you'd expect, with a cheap style that makes it seem very handmade and charming.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 October 2024I like this film but the 1hr 49 minutes can be too much in one sitting. It's interesting to note there are title cards about 4 times throughout the movie so I wonder if this was shot as 4 episodes and then compiled into one movie? It's best for me watched in those 4 chunks instead.
It's a silent movie, shot in black n white and is rather a hit and miss marmite movie. You'll either like it or not. Very similar to old Harold Lloyd and Buster Keaton but with a nod to video games and looney tunes type cartoons too.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 August 2024Funny film, very unique and different. Felt like I was playing a video game at times. Cult classic in the making?
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 August 2024If you grew up loving the likes of Looney Tunes and enjoy silly slapstick humor you can't go wrong with 100s of beavers. But it's more than that, there's so much originality and ingenuity packed into the design of each section. It manages to keep accelerating the pace all the way up until the end.
I don't often buy physical films but after renting this I felt like I wanted to support someone trying something a bit different (plus the cover art is awesome).
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 August 2024Not one scene was funny. After 25 minutes i had to switch it off i couldnt hack anymore. I dont understand in what world ever this is ever ever funny.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 December 2024Didn't like , not a good film.
