I've bought a few Idescit cookers over the years but this one is disappointing. The gush of smoke/steam that comes out of the oven when opening the door sets off my fire alarm. This version doesn't seem to have been designed to include something that reduces steam/smoke build-up. An engineer called and he couldn't find an answer other than suggesting fan assisted ovens were better which reduced the build-up of steam/smoke. Is this the case? But even if it were, it means those who bought the above version would be having similar problems. Also the light in the oven doesn't stay on and keeps going out even when I replace the bulbs they stay on for minutes before going out. An idea might be if I kept the cooker door open very slightly when cooking to stop build-up of steam/smoke and so when the door is opened there is little that will come out. I have emailed Whirlpool who make Idescit to see where we can go with this.
