Bought as a gift for a 4 year old. It does state age is for older and she did need some help with navigating the camera, i think anyone age 8+ would be fine with using without help. Settings need to be adjusted in order to get a decent picture quality but can be used for hours of fun and its nice to have the prints come out that kids dont get with phones/ ipads etc. Pictures taken are also stored on the camera so you can go back and reprint them as you please.
