I have a few night lights. They have all been/are good and this is no exception. It protrudes about 70mm from the wall and is around 107mm high.
In terms of brightness, it has a slider so you can adjust the brightness to suit your preference. At its brightest it is enough to see well enough in most rooms. I like the quality of the light produced that is a warm colour and also is subtly spread by the top clear section that gives an attractive dappled effect.
I am a real fan of night lights (the line between sanity and insanity being so fine). Most electrical appliances these days are expensive to run and given the price of electricity I am reluctant to add to my costs. This though draws 1 watt so based on 12hrs per day and 20p per unit would cost about £1 per yr to run.
Pitch black houses are quite scary and also potentially dangerous because if you are up at night you can trip or bump into things. Equally, if you have been asleep and your eyes are in night mode then if you turn the main light on you will be dazzled and will probably not get back to sleep.
It is surprising how little light you need to see quite well when your eyes are in night mode and these provide more than enough for that purpose.
I have it in my kitchen so when anyone goes for a quick midnight snack or tipple, they can see what they are doing. To be honest I leave another night light on permenantly in every non-sleeping room so if anyone is up at night the house is easy to navigate.
As I have owned LED night lights for a few years I can advise that they dim over time (about 3 years). This is probably because they are lit so much. I have not had this long but I assume it will be the same.
Obviously consider your situation. Do you want a night light that is always on at night (like most of mine) or one that automatically comes on when there is movement as you can get motion activated ones too? This one just stays on and comes on automatically when it is dark enough and turns itself off when it gets lighter again.
