This is a very compact Air unit which surprising has many features. Primarily this is a "personal air conditioner" unit which ultimately makes it a very good and small desktop fan with also doubles as an air humidifier, perfect for those high pollen days which is why for me, this unit would be perfect in areas such as a work from home area or a small bedroom. Now it does not come with a paper instruction manual, the box it comes it itself has a guide on it to explain how all the modes work but if you have ever used such a unit before you will have this running in no time.

Powered by USB cable, it also has RGB lights, only really useful at night or a dark room but one of the features I appreciated as much as the handy remote control is that you can pour water into it, around 300ML was perfect and it will also add some water vapour to the air it blows out adding a lovely cooling mist on each of its 3 speed settings. For the asking price this does deliver a lot of features you would not expect above the usual desktop air fan but its size, good design and solid construction is going to make this ideal for any home or workspace on those hot days we are all having to get used to. Easy to recommend.

This portable fan is great. It's USB powered and comes with just a cable, so you will need to provide a plug if you want to run it from the mains rather than a battery pack. It has a really nice mix of speeds that will work for most occasions, and while it's not the quietest fan I've ever used, it isn't horribly noisy by any means. The cooling effects are what really make this great - it's so easy to wet or even freeze the filter sponge things, and it really has a great effect on cooling the air. Highly recommended.

This review is for the JINGZHOUYANG Personal Space Air Cooler and Humidifier. It arrives in a square box with a USB power cable and remote control (requiring 2 x AAA batteries). There are photos and instructions on the box.

It is a small and lightweight, and can be used with or without water. When switched on without water, it blows out a gentle breeze and has 3 speed settings.

It can be filled with clean water in the top tray – I could not find the ‘’MAX fill’’ mark which is mentioned on the box. It says it takes 450 to 500mls of water but this seems a lot. I filled it with 350mls and it looked quite full! The cooler takes in warm air and blows out cool air.

The power port is on the upper back of the machine right next to the tray where water is poured in and emptied out – so you have to be very careful not to splash water.

The filter can be rinsed with water and put in freezer, when it is put back in the machine, it makes the air even colder.

It has a fun function where you can light it up in different colours (red, blue, green or brown)!

It works well and will be useful on hot days.

As above. It's just a computer case fan in a housing. The humidifier does actually work, but there is so little air moving you'd have to put yourself right in front of it to feel any benefit. On the slowest settings it's loud, on the loudest it sounds like a vacuum cleaner and STILL doesn't move much air.

Honestly if it wasn't for the mister working quite nicely it would be 1 star.

Presentation
The JingZhouYang Personal Portable Air Conditioner and Humidifier was supplied in n unbranded, cardboard box measuring 192 x 170 x 152 mm, which had instructions for use on the outside along with ideas for product use.

First Impressions
When opened, the contents of the box were the fan unit, which unfortunately was incomplete as there were some of the ‘grill blades’ missing from the front of the unit, a remote control requiring 2 x AAA batteries (not supplied) and a USB A to USB Micro power cable. I was not supplied with an instruction booklet.

My first task was to try to reassemble the plastic blades into the grill – checking the pictures and looking at the assembly gave me an idea as to how it should be assembled so I used the pins on the plastic blades to slot into the holes at either side – 2 pins (for adjustment of shuttering) on the left and one pin on the right. Unfortunately one of the pins on the left sheared which was a pity but I did try to be careful. Once assembled I had a better idea of how the unit should operate, and that the plastics were a bit weak if you did need to work with them – almost like an old Airfix kit if anyone remembers them. I now tested the unit for effectiveness.

Day To Day Use
You can use the unit as a fan only or with the water as a humidifier, it has an on/off button, 3 fan speeds a selection of 3 LED colours Red, Green, Blue or does allow it to cycle through them and highlight other colours in the spectrum as it changes, and a 1,2 or 3 hour timer. A pretty comprehensive selection of features and the LED was quite nice and soothing in the evening and at night. The remote control works fine though not at distances greater than around 12ft. The unit is fairly quiet on the lowest speed but noise level increases as the unit woks harder. The timer worked fine for me when I set it using the 1 hour function, you can actually turn the fan off as well which means it is basically just a low level LED light if wanted for that purpose.

Summing Up
This is a neat little unit for a desktop coffee table or bedside cabinet, in terms of functions they all work as expected and the noise level is not too bad even working at full fan levels. With that said the build quality is not great and the fact that it is still using USB Micro in 2024, it did not have an instruction manual (I would not want to retain the box) and a number of pieces had come loose and it needed reassembly on arrival let it down somewhat.
