Generally this set was what i was looking for - sturdy construction and more subtle shades in colour. The plates are good as they have a deep lip round the edges and also a decent size. The cups feel solid and not likely to bend when you hold them with liquid in. My only issue is that the bowls are small and only good for maybe chopped fruit. I was hoping for more cereal/pasta size bowl. Having said that if you have a younger child 6 months -2 years this size may do fine.
