Our local recycling is great, but I don't really want to be going to the outdoor bins every time I want to throw away a bottle or piece of plastic. These bags are my solution, and they're now in my utility room, clipped together for stability, and are easily seperable for emptying.
They're not huge, but are sufficient to hold a weeks' worth of recycling for me and my wife. And even if they weren't, emptying them into the outside bins twice a week is no great hardship, and is far better than what we were doing before.
They are extremely sturdy and well-made. The design is clever and allows for a solid rim (so that they don't collapse) while leaving the carry handles accessible. The stitching is strong, comparible to a sports bag. Make sure you read the instructions when they arrive and all will become clear.
I haven't had to clean them yet, but the heavy nylon material suggests to me that a rinse with a garden hose and airing out for a while will be just fine if that is ever necessary.
