We thought we had a mouse in the house, we kept finding things had been chewed overnight. We bought humane traps to start with that snap shut once the mouse is inside. We had these down for a week or so till an exterminator friend said that mice are generally quite stupid and that if we hadn’t caught one in a trap then it was likely a rat. He suggested we buy these instead. We put them down last night in the places we knew it had been, and by this morning we had caught it. It was quite a big one as well and it was stuck firmly to the board so they are definitely strong/sticky enough.

It ia a carton with sticky stuff. There is a carton on the sides so you can close it and reuse. Unfortunately, it never captured the rat and when i saw the video, the rat stepped on it but managed to escape which was dissapointing.
Further more, the carron on the side comes off easily.
I wouldn't recommend.

I originally tried humane catch-and-release traps, but for whatever reason, the mouse simply wouldn’t go near them. As a last resort, before opting for snap traps, I decided to try these sticky pads after reading online that you can use vegetable oil to release the mouse.

Unfortunately, in my case, the mouse was quite small and became very stuck. Despite my best efforts with the oil, I couldn’t free it. The poor thing was suffering, and I had to dispatch it myself. It was really upsetting and definitely not for the faint-hearted.

That said, the product does exactly what it says – it’s highly effective at trapping mice. The issue here is more about personal preference and how comfortable you are using something like this. For me, I don’t think I’ll use sticky pads again. I’d recommend snap traps instead, as they kill instantly and feel more humane.

All in all, the product works, but it’s worth considering if this method is right for you before buying.

There is no chance of anything getting off these sticky pads unless they're willing to sacrifice a limb or two and a lot of fur! Gruesome I know, but having lost a lot of home grown produce to the critters I've become quite hard hearted about using any means to catch them. We've caught 2 meeces so far and the damage to my spuds and carrots has stopped!
