This little gadget works a treat, arguments down to only a couple of expletives! For those of you who have struggled with awnings you will be aware of what I mean.
We bought a very expensive and heavy air awning “outdoor revolution 360 air pro.”Really heavy and we wished we’d kept our original pole awning ,but this has made our regretful purchase more usable.We now feel we can live with this awning ,have to ,they are so expensive .So don’t hesitate if you think you’re awnings too heavy it’s not .The only thing is we pulled from back and it’s harder that way and rope cuts fingers, when we moved towards the front an side of caravan nearer the door at an angle it was much easier to pull.
I pulled it (wife )while hubby shoved and guided awning in and I managed to pull it by wrapping round it’s rope holder. I have multiple sclerosis and am not the strongest person anymore.So go ahead makes the holiday much more pleasant (nobody got in the car ready to drive back or got off to catch a train!

as a lone caravaner with a new heavy Kampa awning to put up I thought I may have struggled so I bought this pully system. I have seen videos of folk hooking the pully up and then pulling on the rope by walking backwards, this did not work for me as the bead of the awning jammed where it went into the rail. I then fed the awning into the rail wound up the slack and then pulled on the winder with one hand and fed the materiel into the rail with the other. that worked for me. A couple of tips, feed the awning into the rail at the front of the caravan where the first bend in the rail is less of an angle that the rear .Lubricate the leading edge of the awning bead and/or the inside of the awning rail with a lubricant of some sort. I used washing up liquid but other lubricant will do the job. a couple of people on the site commented that they had never seen a pully system before but were impressed. I am impressed as well. would highly recommend.

This came on time and was well packaged. I was looking forward to using this as I am mainly on my own when putting awning up, it looked like a really useful bit of kit. I watched a couple of YouTube video so I would know what to do next time I put my awning up. I found this easy to get into place and screw in. Whether it was because I am slightly on the small side just around 5ft 1 in, I found tugging on it never moved it or walking backwards. I had to manually feed in the awning at one end and then try and pull but it never worked. In the end I stood on the ladder and manually pushed the awning through the rail. Not as useful as I first thought. But it could be user error.
