The maple syrup bottle itself was dirty with black lines that were hard to scrub off but I managed to get it clean only to notice after that half of the spout was broken making pouring very messy. Then after opening the syrup, the lid flap broke.
it's so good to have this amount of a quality maple syrup. The bottles we get in UK supermarkets is very small & used up very quickly. Maple syrup is such a perfect addition to sweet dishes but also a little added into savoury dishes particularly when making tomato sauce the tiniest touch rounds the flavour beautifully rather than using sugar to balance the acidic flavour. But as always oat based recipes like porridge or overnight oats it's works a treat adding a tiny amount enhancing the flavour, without creating blood sugar spikes. Highly recommend this product for its lightness & mellow flavour & is great value for the price. Furthermore the jug style container has a well shaped pourer so keeps clean without the usual stickiness.
Bought this as my 2 usual brands were unavailable. It's reasonable value compared to some of the other mid-range maple syrup but not as interesting in flavour. The listing was for "robust", but what I was sent was "amber" so it is lighter in colour and less deep in flavour. Fine, just nothing special. I'll go back to one of my other choices next time.
I miei figli adorano le pancake. Dopo vari tentativi con altri marchi, su consiglio di un’amica ho preso lo scorso anno questo sciroppo e lo ho ricomprato di recente perché ha un ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo ed ha un sapore intenso e persistente. Consigliato.
