The instructions for this leave a bit to be desired. I found them confusing and not very intuitive and I did not always understand the terminology. I finally managed to get it set up more by luck than judgement. The unit itself is easy to read with nice big lettering. The backlight is easy to activate and you get a lot of useful information. I love that you have an outdoor sensor, but I am confused as one bit of the instructions that was very easy to understand is the mention that to improve the longevity of the sensor not to expose the sensor to sunlight or rain, so it is not really happy with being outside! I may have to make it a little waterproof and sunproof canopy to keep it happy. At lease from now on I will know how many layers I need when I go out running in the morning.

This is like an energy smart meter but for weather. There is a nice screen displaying outside and inside temperatures and humidity. With trend and historical memory and can show other information such as whether mould will grow. It will also display th weather and is advertised as 70% accurate over a 24 hour period.

Apart from the display screen there is a smaller sensor unit that should be placed somewhere sheltered and shaded outside. I put mine at the far end of the garden in the eves of a cabin we have down there. Its approximately 90 foot away and there is no problems with it sending data to the display screen in the dining room. It constantly updates with no issues

You need to either hang it using the plastic loop on the top of the sensor or there is a place on the back to attach to a screw (which is how I hung mine up). It doesnt come with a screw so you will need to get one out the tool box. Its a fairly small screw that is required as larger screws are too big. It wouldnt have hurt if a solitary screw was provided but its not a deal breaker by any means.

It seems fairly accurate but because the unit and sensor unit started life together in the kitchen, they both said it was 21 degrees (inside temperature). When I put the sensor unit down the garden it took a couple of hours to slowly bring the temperature down to the 4 degrees it is now showing on the display unit.

Its a fun item to get accurate local temperature/humidity/frost warnings/ weather updates. It seems to work well.

I have tried several of these weather stations over the years from different sources and this is one of the better ones.

An initial test where I put the outside sensor next to the station resulted in them both showing very similar temperature and humidity readings which is a good result.

Finding a position for the external sensor is quite tricky, the instructions specify that it should be fitted around 8.2 ft from the ground, 'a certain distance from brickwork' to allow airflow around it and should be protected from direct sun and rain. I initially put up mine on the lee side of a fence post (i.e. out of the prevailing winds), it worked fine until we had a little drizzle, when it stopped working, I bought it back in and after an hour or so it started working again, this happened twice, so it is obviously very sensitive to getting wet. At the moment it is on the outside of a kitchen wall under a canopy, but it constantly reads too high, probably because the wall itself is warm from the house's heating.

So far it has been reliable and I like the memory function showing the max and min temperatures and humidity levels and the forecast function. My experience with this type of device is that the external sensor is the weak point, so I expect that to be the first component to fail, but so far it is working well, if only I could find somewhere suitable for that sensor.

I love this weather station and I was immediately impressed with the build quality of both the indoor display unit and the outdoor sensor.

Pairing the two could not have been easier and an icon on the base station display blinks every 30 seconds or so, to confirm that it is receiving data. The instructions recommend that the sensor is placed out of the rain and direct sunshine and so I put mine in a woodshed. This is about 20 m from the house and on the far side of a brick garage but the signal still travels fine from there.

As well as showing the current temperature and humidity for indoors and outdoors, the unit displays extra information. This includes the max minimum values for the past 24 hours, the trend of changes and the dewpoint. There are also icons giving a weather forecast for the next 12 to 24 hours. How accurate that might be remains to be seen, but the manufacturer suggest it could be correct around 70% of the time. In any case, I am more interested in seeing what it’s like outside now, rather than in the future.

Overall, I could not be happier with this weather station and certainly give it 5 stars!

Ich habe die Geräte, zur Temperatur- Überwachung in einem unbewohnten Teilbereich des Wohnhauses eingesetzt. Dabei hat mich die Leistungsfähigkeit der beiden Geräte überzeugt.
