..i will be brief, didnt think the world needed another Hawkwind 'live' album.. well i was wrong. Disc's 1 & 2 are sublime, the sound quality excellent, set list superb and the music, the current cosmonauts piloting the good ship Hawkwind have managed to give us the skeleton/bare bones of a host of classic but produced ethereal soundscapes within each track almost jamming between the start and finish of each piece, its mesmerising
Disc 3, what a bonus, rehearsals and the band in full flow,a couple of old tracks 'Lost Chances' and 'Mask Of Morning' getting new work outs. Again stunning
Comes in a clam shell box. with neat booklet/liner notes
Admission :I'm a huge fan, and bought this as a matter of habit. There have been a few live 'Wind albums in recent years but nothing prepared me for this. It's stunningly good, this line up have really got it together. I can now say with absolute conviction what the second best Hawkwind live album is. Current fave is Assault and Battery/Golden Void... It Rocks.

Having been lucky enough to be have been there on the night last year, there was no way I wasn’t going to buy this. There are numerous Hawkwind records out there, but in my view this is one of the best, with a great mix of vintage and new songs spread across three CDs. A full five 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 for me, a great release!

There's lots to like here, from new arrangements, new(ish) tracks, interesting medleys, and - of course - crystal clear audio (unlike live Hawkwind in the 1970s - though the recent remasters and remixes are fixing that).
Sure, Magnus's guitar isn't up to that of Huw's leads in the 70s and 80s, but he's still eminently holding his own. TPS's synths are right up with the best of Tim Blake, Simon House etc. And Richard Chadwick's drumming is as busy and quick as ever. Only Dave shows some signs of slowing down, but if I'm still at this level at 82 then I'd be well chuffed! 8-)
The bonus disc of rehearsals doesn't - thankfully - duplicate material in the main set, so it's a valid extra that's mainly instrumental and great to have rocking along in the background.

Do we really need another Hawkwind live album? To me yes as that's where they shine. Great setist with the current line up. The holy trinity of rumbling bass, thumping drums and Brocks voice/guitar is as good as it's ever been. Good extras as well which I played first.

A superb live box set from Hawkwind. The set list for this concert is brilliant along with great sound quality to accompany this right royal performance. The bonus tracks finish off a fantastic presentation from this legendary band. No Hawk fan should be without this in there collection.
