Works great as clock & the light is bright & you can cycle through different colours , you can set the time for 12hrs and 25hr time format , and you can set two alarms , you can either play nature sounds or set that alarm to play a radio station ( this would be the last one you played) it is a FM radio with a white plastic antenna that you need to unfurl & move around to get the best signal. That power connection is a USB A to USB C connection at the back of the alarm , it comes with a power adapter as well. The clock is displayed when the radio isn't begin listened to . The sound is clear & loud once the radio is tuned in , it doesn't take up too much space & there is a non slip rubber pad on the bottom . I like feature of it acting like a sunrise lamp instead of being woken up suddenly by the mobile alarm. The only thing I don't like is when auto tunning the radio even though one is found there doesn't seem to be a away to stop it tunning , it just continues , the only way I have found to tune in the radio is to do it manually but other than that it works great 👍

Bit torn on this item to be honest, let me start by saying that this alarm clock is beautifully made, it looks way more expensive than it is and has a real futuristic vibe to it. Basically if Apple made alarm clocks in 2048 it would look like this. The materials are good quality, with really strong plastic on both the unit and the light, and the light up display is nice and not one of those that makes your eyes bleed it's so bright (handy if it's going next to your bed). So visually and stylistically I love it, it's a beautiful thing on display.

The downside came for me with the controls an the instruction manual - which surprised me, as unlike a lot of these types of items the instruction manual is really well written and presented with nice large pages in a chunky booklet (not some flimsy pamphlet with terrible instructions like many). The trouble is that when you follow those instructions - they don't actually work. Later on i'd stumble across something on another page for something else and go 'oh... I need to do THAT first' - so it's not very well explained. At times i'd press a button (as instructed) which 'should' bring a menu up (setting the clock for example) except that it doesn't, so I was getting very frustrated with it.

After a bit of trial and error I managed to get the time set and set an alarm - which did go off, and I like that you can choose between a variety of noises (birds, waves etc) or FM radio, so I set mine to my favourite eighties station. The sunrise wake up is nice, a bizzare experience for me the first time but you soon get used to it.

You get a charger with USB plug with it which I think is great as many items these days JUST come with a USB and forget the plug, so that was really pleasing. It IS a lovely clock and does do what it claims - it just needs a better instruction manual as the controls aren't very logical to work out.
