Product description
"Every prog band worth their salt really should do a double album, shouldn't they?" asks Frost* frontman Jem Godfrey. This was one of the initial ideas as the band's songwriter/keyboardist/vocalist approached working on Frost*'s 5th studio album Life in the Wires due out on Oct. 14th, 2024 on InsideOutMusic. The album is Frost* at its most ambitious, offering nearly 90 minutes of music over 14 exquisite tracks. The album is the brainchild of Godfrey who was inspired to create the conceptual world for the album based on the group's previous release Day and Age (2021). Fans of the band's masterful debut album Milliontown (2006) will enjoy the band revisiting the style that made that debut album one of the most successful prog rock albums of the last 20 years, a fact that was not lost on Godfrey as he was writing this new record. "With Day and Age, we made it a very specific point: we're not doing any solos, we'll do clever arrangements. And we enjoyed that discipline, but this time I thought it might be good to row back on that position a bit. Plus I wanted to have a little bit of a nod to Milliontown with this album, because it's been nearly 20 years since Milliontown came out and I'm still proud of it. The 15-minute title track has a few of those Milliontown moments in it which were great fun to do again." The album will be available as a Limited 2CD Edition, Gatefold 140g 2LP & as Digital Album, with stunning artwork by Carl Glover (Steven Wilson).

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 29 October 2024My interest in music and prog had started to wane. So tired of hearing the same old predictable stuff from once great bands. This ... I didnt get at first and I think thats a good thing for me because boy did it grow. Bravo Jem Godfrey! (and the more than accomplished Frost band... that goes without saying but as this one was written largely by Jem credit where its due.) It is very Milliontowny... with a dollop of Falling Satellites and a few tablespoons of Experiments and (what I thought was their weakest album) Day and Age; but this is so vibrant and brave. Love it!

Great Prog..!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 October 2024The new album from FROST* , a real gem , there is a nod to the first album ( Milliontown ) in parts , but in truth is an extension of the last album Day and Age . Well worth a listen , they are an underappreciated band , but who are steadily growing a loyal following .
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 November 2024Great performances with Jem on majority of vocals not as instant as last few but better for it, sits well alongside Milliontown and Falling Satellites
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 October 2024Have followed this band since their first epic release 'Milliontown'.
I think this is as good as anything they have released thus far. Stunning musicianship throughout. Throughly reccomended.

Grazie infinite, Jem.

An incredible album in my opinion. It tells a story that falls great for today's time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Frost* da comprare subito
