I just got a set of bar mitts for the winter which unfortunately made it impossible to mount my mirror anywhere useful on the actual handlebars, so I got this and set it up so its extension is biased heavily to the right - it does the job fine and the mirror(an all-metal Hafny) doesn't seem any shakier than it was before.

In relation to the other reviews, I'll note that they appear to have taken note of the issue as mine(ordered December 2022) was supplied with two thin strips of 3M tape-backed textured rubber. Using those in combination with the main size plastic insert I was able to get it clamped down hard enough that I almost accidentally stripped the hex head of the basic bolts they provide, doesn't appear to be going anywhere.

If I had to offer feedback, I'd say that I'd rather pay a little bit more for sturdier, thicker arms and heftier bolts - if the maker can make the economics work doubling the thickness of the arms and bumping up to M8 bolts while remaining under 20 quid would be good I think.

If you fit this on a 31.8mm handlebar it probably fits ok but on a 22mm bar where the "packers" have to be used, & a degree of clamping is required the hole alignment prevents the hex bolt from entering the treaded section unless it is less than 4mm apart, so is very difficult or impossible to fit.
Un fortunately my return window has closed before trying to fit, otherwise I would return it.

I really should know better, purchaced this because I wanted a 30cm extension, the build quality is attrocious the alluminuim is poor quaity and soft and worst of all the size spacers are plastic so no matter how hard you tighten them they offer no grip on the handlebar at all. This one is going back and I advise all to look for a better quality one.
