I've got loads of experience with LED torches - a bit obsessed you could say :)
I've almost permanently got a head torch on for the kind of work that I do, and when at home in my garage or working on the cars in my spare time. And those of you who know, will know just how frustrating they can be. E.g. lying underneath a car and your head torch slips backwards. Or when it's cold outside and you put one on over your hat, and it hurts or again starts to slip off.
This is an innovative product which uses little spiral hooks that go through your clothing to hold it on. So it's virtually limitless in where you can place it. It also has quite a strong magnet on the back so you can stick it somewhere metallic like on the underside of your bonnet. It does slip mind you on shiny surface (just tried it on my fridge). They could add some rubber on the back but then this would increase the distance between the retractable hooks and your clothing. Just one of those trade offs.
Personally, it's just perfect for a woolie hat or something like that. Yes it could leave some damage in delicate clothing, but who's wearing cashmere walking the dog?
It 'fast charges' using a high current USBC charger. It doesn't have a huge battery but that's limited by it's size. It can't be too heavy based on the hook system.
It does have lots of different light settings. Personally I just want it to turn on and off but that's just me. I'm not a fan of having to long press the "-" button, waiting for it to decrease in brightness, before it turns off. I just want no frills on and off. But I get some people may want to use a red flashing light for the back of the rucksack on a push bike etc.
I'd also like to see the 3 blue LED battery indicator upgraded to a LCD screen with battery percentage. This isn't expensive and is seen on many cheap (£10) bike lights.
It could be perceived as expensive at 24.97 but it's innovative - and you have to pay for that innovation.
I think it's worth it. Also a great present - the product you may consider buying yourself but chose something else.

The attachment mechanism on this light is genuinely impressive—unlike anything I’ve seen before, and it works brilliantly. While they advise against using it on delicate fabrics (which I followed), it attached securely to my coat, jumper, and cap. Out of curiosity, I even tested it on a mouse mat to explore its versatility, and it still held firm. The swipe-to-lock/unlock mechanism is quick, simple, and secure enough that I never had any concerns about it coming loose.

The variety of light modes is extensive, and the brightness can be easily adjusted to suit your needs. The light can go extremely bright—so much so that you definitely don’t want to look into it directly. It’s lightweight, charges quickly, and feels thoughtfully designed for real-world use. Its compact size makes it easy to keep in a pocket or bag, so it’s always handy when you need it.

It also features a magnetic attachment, which adds to its versatility, making it ideal for use as a hands-free light in a workshop or even as an emergency light to keep in your car for safety.

While this isn’t the lowest-cost torch, its features truly set it apart from anything else I’ve used. I own a few head torches, and while some work brilliantly, this offers a completely different approach with distinct strengths.

For nighttime outings in poorly lit areas, this light shines—literally. Unlike a head torch, which can feel awkward in some situations, this is versatile and unobtrusive. One feature I particularly love is the ability to attach it to your back and select the red blinking mode, making it perfect for walking or cycling on country roads. A clever little light, but problematic on many fabrics

This is a nicely designed little light - small, packable, bright, with a lovely range of light options. It's very packable for an emergency kit. But the novel fastening doesn't work as well as I'd like.

The light options are excellent - a bright floody white, a warm yellow white (much nicer indoors); a spot-white more suitable for precise tasks, and red; there are flashing options too.

The fastening is the issue. It's definitely clever - you slide the lever and the back of the light curls out tiny sharp spiral prongs into your clothing to grip on. It does work, surprisingly well. Sometimes it takes a couple of shots, but it does work. Just don't attach it to your skin: I may have done this for testing purposes, and it is painful.

The issues are these: firstly, you will never want to attach it to a waterproof; secondly, it's too heavy for light fabrics - like running or cycling kit, and risks tearing these; thirdly - and vitally - any light fabric allows the light to droop downwards, as the fabric is weighed down by the weight of the light.

We're using it on the back of a backpack - it clings well to the heavy cordura and is a good light for use when cycling. We just have to remember to charge often if it's on the bright settings.

It would also make a good light to have in your glove box or the top of your rucksack for emergencies, simply because it's so small. But do be aware that it's not going to keep its charge long unusued, which limits it in those situations.

It's a very clever design; I'm just not sure how well the application actually works.

This light is technical, you will have to memorize the instructions and it's still complicated to get to the desired function, it does have a internal memory to take you to your last setting. The way the light attaches to items is genius, it's a physical attachment, no velcro or adhesives, if not properly removed, the light can tear the fabric you attached it to. The novel aspect of this light is the way it attaches to clothing. I think it is best suited to sweaters and other coarse knit/fuzzy clothing, probably not so great on shiny, fine knit or smooth fabrics that will be easily damaged by something puncturing the surface.
I tried it out on my fleece sweater and that worked just fine - it easily clipped on without going all the way through, no noticeable signs of damage. At first I thought that it would hang down too much, but in practice it is just about the perfect amount of hanging down in order to illuminate the ground ahead of you when walking around in the dark. If it shone perfectly straight ahead, it wouldn't work very well for ground illumination. For those who think headlamps are too gauche, this is a great alternative. Personally, I have no issues with headlamps (I have a couple powerful LED headlamps), and for pure tracking of light where you are looking and power there is no replacement for a good headlamp. However, when just walking to the outhouse in a campground, you don't really need all that illumination power and something like this will do the job just fine.
Price wise, I think this is a little expensive - sure it has a neat way of attaching to garments, but I'm not sure the novelty really justifies the price. After all, it is a small light with a small battery - it doesn't have the power or the life of larger lamps that are priced at the same level. Yes, the compactness is an advantage in some cases, but as already discussed, it comes at a cost of illumination power and battery life. For what it is I think it should cost less. I am deducting a star mainly because of price - if this was a $15 item, I would consider it a great light for its price point and give it 5 stars, but I just can't do that as I expect more from a $35 light than what this delivers.

There are only two buttons to control the LED light. To power on, press and hold the “+” button. Each press of the “+” button will change its mode in a cycle. Press and hold the “+” will increase the brightness. Press and hold “-” will decrease its brightness. To power it off, press and hold the “-” button. It will shut off after it reached to the lowest brightness.
There is a unique method to attach it to cloth. It has 5 rotate-out pins on the back that can pierce into fabric then lock in place without any chance to hurt your skin.
