This kit is wonderful!
I was a little bit worried getting this type of tech from a more unknown company but I'm certainly glad I did. I'm an indie filmmaker and 3D artist, and these do the job perfectly. No need for some seriously expensive lighting solutions!
These lights can go BRIGHT. The first shocker was just how bright one light could go, and the fact that you can dim them thanks to the versatility of RGB LEDs is a much welcomed feature. The remote works well on both, and while the short range might be a negative factor for some, I really appreciate it as it means I can control each light individually for a nice colour gradient.
Each light was nice and easy to put together. The softbox itself has a strong frame which at first looked floppy, but once around the light itself and screwed in, firmly kept the softbox at its desired shape. The edges of the softboxes are lined with velcro, which allows you to attach the white sheet on each to spread the light evenly on a subject. The frame itself was strong for both lights, easy to assemble, and without defects.
The bag these come with is nice and spacious. No pockets for things so I found it's best in most cases to pack everything in it's original packaging. There's so much space that I can add a backdrop or greensceen in there too.
