A point star will do anything to make big in Hollywood etc(as some glimpses of porno graphic material)done light heartedly. A serial killer is killing the girls,as unexpected twist to plot, thriller who dunnit.as a few gory moments.l thought it was not a bad movie.
In 1980s Hollywood Maxine Minx is determined to break out into her first big Hollywood film and leave the adult film industry far behind her. However, there is a killer on the loose on the streets of LA, leaving a trail of bodies in their wake that lead the police to Maxine's doorstep and threaten to reveal her dark past and the events of 'X'. However, Maxine is determined to be a star and will do whatever it takes to make it and no one, not even a deranged serial killer is going to stand in her way.
Maxxxine is the concluding part of Ti West's Mia Goth starring trilogy and for me it ends on a high, with this being the highest rated in my opinion. I loved the 80's setting on the dirty grimy streets of Los Angeles, Mia Goth is superb in the lead role and the story is a very fitting conclusion to the trilogy. It can be viewed as a stand alone story but I think viewers will get a lot more out of it if they have seen the entire trilogy, especially the first in the trilogy, 'X' which is referred to many times throughout. I loved the 'in-film' references too and felt it was very much a film made for horror fans by someone who is a horror fan themselves. Overall a stylish, horror throwback with great performances and a killer soundtrack about how far we will go to become the person we were meant to be.
In Hollywood in 1985, adult film star Maxine Minx is determined to become a huge movie star as a serial killer terrorises Hollywood. Director Ti West's horror trilogy finishes with a fun homage to 80's slasher horror movies. An excellent performance from Mia Goth in the lead role and good supporting performances from Elizabeth Debicki, Michelle Monaghan, Bobby Cannavale, Giancarlo Espiosito and Kevin Bacon.

Started off as a horror but rapidly went off into some random murder mystery with random characters that don't match anything.. How disappointing I rented this for £2
