TIPS:

Please align the center column with one of the legs, or use the hook to add weight to stabilize the tripod to prevent it from falling down when using a heavy camera.
Press the red bottom button (stop tab) of the centre column arm to remove the platform and carabiner.
The calibration line must be aligned to be locked, otherwise the column willnot be stable.
Not recommended to extend the center column arm to the maximum length.
Equipped with 3 metal Spikes for replacement use to adapt to different ground environments. The tube with a rubber grip can be removed and used as a monopod. If it is replaced with a metal spike, it can also be used as a Trekking pole.

My old metal tripod still works, but it's doddery. I also have some more basic tripods that break easily with use. I needed something though that fully served my purpose at home and outdoors. This is it.

This is a professional, top quality anodised aluminum tripod and monopod kit. It has attachments for additional equipment, such as lighting, phones or laptop trays, or counterbalancing, and it also has rubber or spiked feet options for different surfaces. This will work in most conditions.

I myself am not tall but this is. It towers, over me anyway, at 70" tall and even stretched out to that height it's as sturdy as you can hope it to be. To combat uneven ground, you can adjust each leg separately, in length and angle. The legs can lift 90 degrees to the tripod.

A feature I really like is the overhead, horizontal arm. It slides easily between the three tripod legs for storage, then when you need it, it pops out just as easily, to lock into position at your chosen angle. The ball joint fitting then gives your camera all options for tilting and positioning. This works well for photography over desk areas.

An added bonus is that one leg unscrews to become a monopod. A top quality monopod.

With a really nice, padded bag, this piece of kit is excellent. It really is. The construction is solid and it's fairly lightweight even though very sturdy. Everything turns, twists, clicks and locks into positions very smoothly. You could buy cheaper but this is a quality investment that will last many years. I thoroughly recommend it.

12Dec24 Update: I knocked off 1 star after using this more extensively. The issue is that the center arm, when extended horizontally, is difficult to tighten enough to prevent dangerous camera slippage. I'm using a fairly heavy load (~4.4 lbs) for macro, but still, the mechanism to lock the arm in place is not good under load. It needs a better friction locking mechanism to prevent such unwanted slippage.
I bought this with a specific application in mind - macro photography using the articulating center column. Given that the cost ($60) was so low, I did not have high expectations, especially regarding the weight (which was irritatingly not provided in the product description). So, I was pleasantly surprised at both the quality of the construction and the weight - which turns out to be ~5.5 lbs, including the ball head. While this weight is not lightweight for a 'travel' tripod, it is quite reasonable, given the special features of the center column. For travel, I have a carbon fiber unit that is ~4 lbs.
While there are some minor flaws, e.g., the tightening knobs are all plastic and not particularly ergonomic (compared to higher priced units), given the very reasonable cost, these are quite acceptable.
If you are looking for a tripod with an articulating arm, this is a good consideration.
