As expected they drilled a hole through through a brick with relative ease, (drills are great, user getting tired). I have used two of the bits and they both worked as desired through cinderblock and another solid concrete surface about 6 inches thick, but buried under other wall layers (hence the need for this length).
I used them as pilot hole makers before a much wider harder to direct bit (and they worked well for this purpose. I wish they came with a tube case (purchased separately elsewhere).
I am satisfied and feel they will last well for my likely annual usage for the next few years. (wish I could rent but not worth it at this price.. which is a good thing)
