You get two handsets with docking stations for recharging (a USB charger is required and not supplied but I use my phone charger for this) and earpieces for discreet listening They are easy to use with press to talk buttons and a combined rotary on/off volume knob and a channel selection control knob that speak to announce that the power is on and tell you what radio channel ( 16 are available) you have selected.They come with two clips that can be screwed on to the back of the handsets if you want to fasten them to a coat or belt and they also have a handy torch function. .I have been impressed by their range and performance when I used them in the local park and even over hundreds of yards distance the reception was loud and clear.Battery life was fine for me but or course this depends on the amount of individual use.These will come in handy to keep in touch with members of my family when visiting large carboot fairs which are often in the country where mobile phone signals can be weak or non existant.At their low price I think these are a great value product for use by both adults and children and I am happy to recommend them.

Well if im honest i was not sure what to expect

I got these really for when we are out cycling/ walking or out with the drones i wanted something lightweight so not much to carry that was not going to break the bank but would do the job.

So enter the Maylawn Walkie Talkies they arrive in branded box and on opening your meet with the radios, batteries, clips, and desktop charger (bonus) the radios are easy to to put together the battery just clips on and the clip is attached by removing two screws on the back, both radios come with an earpiece and mic that allows the radio in my case to be carried on the side of my daysack while cycling walking or out with the drones. Range wise they worked really well in the open area of Cannock chase as we tested in a nice large open area without much issue we did notice someone else had some radios of another brand and was on same channel just a simple click and we selected a different channel, my friend walked back to his car which was around 1.5 miles from where we where and the radio worked really well. In a built up area of course they still worked well but range was limited due to all the interference. My favourite feature was the fact that while we were all together we could plug in a 4 way usb hub and charge the radios using my solar panel. The only thing with that is having to carry the dock in the bag.

Over all a great little set that does the job i need them for, im happy to recommend based on my use so far, if there are any issues i will come back and update review

My kids love using walkie talkies, but the set we had were battery operated and needed 6 batteries in all, so could work out expensive to use. These walkie talkies have been a great replacement being as they are rechargeable. Charging only takes a few hours and they hold charge for a good long while. We forgot to turn one off in the evening and we was woken at 6am by a very loud voice telling us the battery was running out! Being able to use an ear piece with microphone is handy when you don’t want to carry the walkie talkie in your hand the whole time. We was disappointed by the little fabric covers for the ear pieces though as they both ripped to bits when we tried to put them on the ear pieces. The belt clip doesn’t come attached either and you have to screw them on if you want to use them which is a little fiddly but a one time job.
We was a bit confused by the ability to use VOX function and the instruction leaflet in the box is very short and vague to say the least. However when I checked the product page again, I noticed there is a user manual pdf which has much better instructions and explains everything you need to know. It would be helpful if that information had been included in the box, or even letting you know there are more in-depth instructions available online.
The walkie talkies themselves work well for us although we don’t use them over a huge distance. The furthest we use them is about 500 metres and there are buildings and a wooded area between us and they worked very well.
