Although some purists may see these as a bit of a cheating tool, it's fair to say that if you're at a new course, having a bit of a heads up of distances to the pin, can help you to make an informed club decision.

This rangefinder isn't cheap, priced at £169 with a 30% discount making it £118, with a further 10% at the time of ordering. However, right from the offset, you can see that a lot of design has gone into this and it feels like a quality product. The provided hard case has plenty of connectivity options, belt loop, carabiner, and an elastic loop, it also looks sporty in light grey and orange.

The finder has a good weight to it and it's solidly built, ot may be plastic, but it feels rugged. There are only 2 buttons, one to turn it on and take a measure while using the device, the other sets between MPH, yardage and yardage to pin. All you have to do is look at your target, click measure and it will give you a reading of the distance. You even have a slide switch to set to measure slopes, it's very easy to use!

Performance wise, I found this to be very fast in obtaining measurements. In terms of accuracy, I can't say with cast iron certainly that it's spot on, but it compared favourably to my golf partners GPS watch, albeit with a bit of tolerance, but this may be more accurate as GPS isn't correct to the mm. So far battery life has been great, I've used it on a few occasions now and it's still going strong, and although a battery level indicator would have been nice, the fact that they give you two batteries means that you won't be left wanting. I would have also liked some clip on covers for the lenses as they don't look cheap and and damage may impact on the performance.

Overall this is a fast and accurate measuring device that could really help you to up your game. However, it does mean that you have to interrupt your game a little, although goven its size, you could slip it into your pocket.

I ordered this Mileseey Rechargeable Golf Range Finder to help me - believe me I need the help - on the golf course. As a beginner, I’ve been looking for something that helps me out on the course without costing a fortune. This has all the features I need—easy to use, accurate, and really makes a difference in my game!

The first feature I got excited by is the Flag Lock Vibration, which is brilliant! I’m always second-guessing my distance, but with this rangefinder, I get a little buzz when I’ve locked onto the flag, and that makes it so much easier to know I’ve got the right target. The accuracy is spot-on too—within ±0.55 yards, which is all I could ask for as a beginner.

Another of my favourite features is the slope switch. I can turn it on for more realistic readings on hilly courses, then flip it off when I’m playing in a tournament. It’s a great bonus, even though I’m nowhere near tournament level yet (and probably never will be!)!

The magnetic mount is well thought out. It sticks securely to my trolley, even when the terrain’s a bit rough. Plus, it’s rechargeable with USB-C, so no need to worry about constantly buying new batteries. The rechargeable CR2 battery charges quickly and lasts a good while, so no stress there either.

Another cool feature is the Vertical Height Function, which lets you measure tree heights! It’s a nice extra, even if I’m not using it every round. To be honest I've started using that for random trees in the neighbourhood with nothing to do with golf, just sheer nosiness.

For £153 (and I've seen cheaper with discounts), it’s fantastic value for money. Anything that ups my game is worth considering, and if you like facts and figures, its a good one. Highly recommend!

This is a nice quality golf range finder from Mileseey.

The PF260 unit comes supplied with two CR2 batteries (so you have a spare as it only needs one at a time).
There's also a lens cleaning cloth and a USB-A to USB-C charging cable supplied in the box.

The unit is held by an orange and grey semi-rigid zipped carry case. I'm not a massive fan of the colour scheme used but it works well with an elastic strap in there to keep the unit firmly in position plus a carabiner and rubber strap on the outside to attach it to your trolley. Or it is also magnetic so you can attach it directly (but not when it's in the case).

The distance measurements works very well. The unit only has two buttons to worry about - power/snap and mode switch.

You can alternative between metres, yards and feet depending on what units you'd prefer to operate in.

The hand grip is great. Although it's only textured around the bottom of the unit the grip is very good.

The focus works very well too (manually adjustable on the eyepiece).

There's a physical switch to turn off the slope adjustment on and off - which makes it tournament legal.

The display is very easy to understand and just really simple to use. Flag lock works very well. I tried it up to 250 yards and measurements were repeated consistently to the same target (i.e. the same target consistently gave the same distance answer, so accuracy is very good).

I haven't yet tested the speed measurement function (you need a second person to test that properly or find it of any use).

Overall the unit looks stylish and feels like the part too. It's the most expensive range finder I've tried to date but the look and feel are reflected in that for sure.

J'ai eu l'occasion de tester ce télémètre, et il fait vraiment la différence, que ce soit sur un parcours de golf ou lors d'une sortie chasse. Le mode Slope avec l'option on/off est super pratique. Il permet d’obtenir des mesures très précises en tenant compte des pentes, ce qui est un vrai plus pour ajuster mes coups de golf ou bien mes tirs. Et pour ceux qui préfèrent des mesures standard sans inclinaison, l’interrupteur permet de désactiver facilement cette fonction.

La précision est impressionnante, avec une marge d'erreur vraiment minime. Lors de mes parties, le système de verrouillage du drapeau est d'une efficacité redoutable, avec une légère vibration qui me confirme que la cible est bien verrouillée. Ça donne confiance et permet de prendre des décisions rapides et sûres. Et j’adore le fait qu’il soit magnétique, ce qui me permet de le fixer directement sur mon chariot de golf sans risquer de le perdre.

En plus, il est rechargeable, donc plus besoin de changer de piles tout le temps, ce qui est non seulement économique, mais aussi super pratique. Il tient bien la charge, même après plusieurs jours d’utilisation intensive. En revanche, si tu cherches quelque chose pour de très longues distances ou en conditions vraiment extrêmes, ça pourrait manquer un peu de portée, mais pour mes besoins sur le parcours ou en chasse, c’est largement suffisant !
