This is a useful monitor arm if you need to maximise desk space. It has a clamp which will fit a desk edge up to two inches thick, and has an alternative mounting base if you don't mind drilling through or want the monitor further in from the edge.
Assembly is simple enough that you may not even need the user manual; as you unpack the box it all makes sense.
The monitor rear mount is in three sections; a plate which screws to the monitor (VESA 75, VESA 100 or wider with the included extension bars), a tilt/turn/rotate bracket which screws to the plate, and a two hole (one blind, one through) collar which attaches the bracket to the central pole. Fit the base plate to the desk, screw the pole into the plate, fit the monitor bits to the monitor, drop the monitor bits onto the pole and tighten the allen bolt. Tighten up the tilt bolt on the bracket if the monitor is sagging, loosen the rotation screw if you want to be able to turn the monitor, job done.
A nice touch is the two extra holes on the two cable tidy brackets, one of which snaps onto the pipe and the other slots into the base. Either set of holes can be used to keep the two allen keys for adjusting the stand, so they're always to hand if you need them. Nice!
Something to bear in mind is that - unless you drill the desk - the monitor is at the back edge, only sitting a few inches in. If you have a big desk you may consider this too far back, unless you also have a big monitor, which of course this is designed for. If you're using the desk as a workbench and need the monitor to sit back out of the way though, it's perfect.
