Recorded in 1969, on 8 tracks, this has long been one of Van Morrison's recordings. It was remixed to 5.1, by Elliot Schneider, in 2013 and now has been remixed to Dolby Atmos and a given a sparkling new stereo mix, by Steven Wilson. I don't have the ability to listen to the Atmos mix as it was intended, but the 5.1 mix is sensational. Wilson's sleeve notes chart the challenges involved here and he, correctly, praises Schneider's earlier work. The new 2023 stereo mix sparkles and suffice to say, if you enjoy this album and have the equipment, you it to yourself to buy this.
