Blood On The Tracks for me is as near perfection as is possible i just love it, I cannot fault it at all, i bought the album way back in 74, then there was a whisper of a bootleg "The New York sessions" as legend has it TNYSessions was going to be the album to be released, but bob as is his want decided to change the order and some of the lyrics the night before it's official release,(could be bullshit) but just knowing there might be another blood out there I had to have it,(and got on an old c90 tape to start with) And now this, latest in the legendary bootleg series. If you are new to Dylan then this is the recording for you, a chance to see what all the fuss is about,IMHO Dylan is at his creative height, I Almost envy anybody who is listening to blood for the first time the lyrics form films in your mind ,listening to lily rosemary and the jack of hearts is like (for me)watching a movie(without opening your eyes!)it's so vivid, the beauty off lonesome when you go,simple twist with subtle bass lines,and organ . look as you can see i cannot string a decent sentence together, just listen to disc one over and over in a darkened room with headphones if your unable to let your stereo fly for 50 mins or so.If you've been with Dylan since the beginning well you don't need telling, and who said he can't sing?

Love the acoustic versions of these songs but when I removed the records from the cover both of the record sleeves and the information sheet were bent over by 30 mm on one corner. The records had various finger prints on them and a 50 mm audible scratch on one record. Not ��غ��s fault and they refunded my money within one day

It’s good, it’s possibly great, but as good ad the original? No. If you’re buying this it’s because you’ve got Blood On The Tracks, you’ve probably got 30 or 40 Dylan albums, you know what you’re going to get. You’re going to be happy, you’re going to play it, more than once. Then you’re going to play the original, and you’re probably going to realise that it’s perfect, faultless, and you’re going to play it many more times than the new version. Nothing wrong with that, it’s not your fault you can’t improve on perfection.

This single CD is an alternative version of Bob Dylan's 15th studio album 'Blood On The Tracks' generally acknowledged to be his masterpiece.
Recorded in New York during September 16-19, 1974, when his marriage to Sara was on the rocks, Dylan is in majestic form and the powerful, emotionally complex songs are painfully honest and heartfelt.
There's also an expensive 87-track, 6-CD set which documents the 10 original songs plus outtakes, false starts etc. from the 1974 sessions, but impecunious Dylan fans should be content with this excellent single CD of 'More Blood, More Tracks'.
It's fascinating to compare these stark, raw versions with those on the original 'Blood On The Tracks'.

I have been waiting so many years for Sony to release the New York sessions - like many I have had a range of bootlegs for many years. I so prefer these versions to the "real" Blood on the Tracks that was originally released - without exception. The album tracks/sampler are carefully chosen. The design of the album is lovely. This music describes, for me, the breakdown of a relationship with such clarity and integrity. But it also is a reminder how to not make the same mistake twice and to never take love for granted. As a whole, for me, this is Dylan's masterpiece. I cannot imagine how anyone could not at the least appreciate this album - and for many I think it will become a part of their lives and individual story. It's stripped back, bare and brutally honest. Painfully honest. It brings tears. This is a beautiful record that comes searingly alive at that point in your life when your heart is broken to pieces. It makes you realise that you are not alone. When the pain fades, as it inevitably must, it stands as a reminder to be a better human being. Very special.

Blood On The Tracks es uno de los álbumes más queridos de Bob Dylan y es uno de los álbumes más alabados de la historia. Lo que pocos saben es que este álbum se grabó primero en Nueva York con una producción minimalista y estaba listo para ser lanzado cuando Dylan se fue de vacaciones a Minnesota y allá pensó que muchas de las canciones no le gustaban, así que ahí mismo contrató una banda y grabó la mitad de las canciones en otro estilo con otra energía. Este álbum More Blood On The Tracks recupera ese álbum original grabado en Nueva York y realmente vale mucho la pena porque es una maravilla. Las canciones que tanto amamos aquí son más nostálgicas, íntimas y artísticas. Este álbum es adecuado tanto para fanáticos irredentos como para gente que no ha escuchado tanto a Dylan y quiere conocerlo por primera vez.

Als Bob Dylan Blood on the Tracks schrieb steuerte seine Ehe mit Sara dem Ende entgegen. Touralltag, Alkohol und Groupies. Kein Lichtblick auf Versöhnung.

Auf Blood on the Tracks ist Dylan ein Suchender. Ein Mann, der gescheitert ist. Er muss sein Umfeld verlassen, um neu in die Spur zu treten, die ihn hinaus führt auf einen Weg ohne Ziel. Nur die Bewegung zählt. Die Bewegung nach vorne als künstlerische Erfüllung, wie ein simpler Strich, ausgeführt mit bewusster Kraft auf einer leeren Leinwand.

So singt er von Verfehlungen in „Tangle up in Blue“ in dem er immer wieder in neue Rollen schlüpft. Er sucht die Reue in „Idiot Wind“. Er beklagt den Verlust der gefühlten und erlebten Liebe in „You're gonna make me lonesome when you go“ und hofft in „If you see her, say hello“ von Ihr wieder gefunden zu werden.

Dylans Schmerz und Empfindsamkeit wandelt sich in wunderbare Lieder, seine Odyssee des Leids ist unser Glück. Wir bekommen ein Album, das nahezu makellos ist.

More Blood, more Tracks bietet uns, bis auf Up to me, keine neuen Songs. Wir bekommen fast den gleichen Inhalt (abgesehen von einigen Textänderungen).

Dylan spielte die Songs auf der Akustikgitarre ein und wurde begleitet von Tony Brown am Bass.

Dieses Aufnahmen strahlen eine wunderbare Ruhe aus und wirken nicht so getrieben wie auf der finalen Studio-LP, die wir alle kennen.

More Blood, more Tracks ist nicht nur eine Zugabe zum bestehenden Album Blood on the Tracks, es ist ein komplett eigenes, ein neues Album. Dylan klingt hier so unverstellt und echt wie auf seinem ersten Album.

Die zwei Platten stecken in einer boxartigen Hülle. Jede LP steck in einer fotobedruckten Papierhüllen mit Porträts von Dylan. Beigefügt ist noch ein vierseitiges Blatt mit Informationen zum Hergang der Aufnahmesession und wie es aus Dylans Sicht zu diesem Album gekommen ist.

Die Platten liegen plan auf dem Plattenteller. Beim Abspielen gibt es keine Störgeräusche zu hören. Der Klang, der vier LP-Seiten ist sauber und klar.

Dieses schwarze Vinyl ist ein weiteres „must have“ aus der Bootleg-Series.

A raw, stripped down version of Blood On The Tracks. More Blood, More Tracks is Dylan at his most intimate and probably at his most self expressive. Each song is a companion to the original release. Giving more depth to the understanding of every track. It is probably not for everyone, but I would recommend it to anyone who even a neophyte Dylan appreciator.
