My new TV lacks the composite inputs required to plug the nintendo wii in so i got this adapter to bridge the gap, allowing an hdmi input instead. I was not disappointed and it worked immediately out of the box. Beware this may not work with some HDMI splitters for complicated reasons but when the HDMI lead is plugged directly in to the TV it works flawlessly. To be clear this is for the adampter only, the HDMI lead itself is seperate and an item i had anyway

Note for setting up: you have to scale down the resolution on your TV - you get a better picture quality selecting 480p than 720p.
