I really like that this lamp comes in a carry case with a big chunk of foam full of cut outs for all the various parts. It makes storing and transporting it so much easier than if it was just a bunch of loose items.

All parts of the product feel sturdy and well made. I must admit I didn't really refer to the instructions - I just figured out how to put it all together, then had a play with the remote control.

I found the preset modes to be mostly useless for my needs. Once I worked out that the SET button switches between setting the colour temperature and setting the brightness, I found it easy to operate. You get a good range of colour temperatures and brightnesses. I found the highest brightness too bright for shooting indoors, but it would probably be good to cast extra light on a bright day if required.

I feel like the ONLY thing this is missing is a 1/4" threaded adapter to allow you to mount a DSLR inside the ring, instead of just a phone. I wanted to use my DSLR with the ring light, so had to set up a second tripod behind the ring light tripod and poke the camera lens through the ring.

I like the fact it's all powered by USB-C - this means it can work off a battery pack as well as in the included three-pin mains plug, which makes it very portable.

Overall, I'm happy with this product.

Weighing in at a reasonable lightness, the ring light is designed for effortless setup and handling, making it suitable for users of all experience levels. Its adjustable colour temperature ranges from a warm 2900K to a cool 7000K, allowing for precise lighting adjustments to achieve the desired ambience. Additionally, the brightness can be fine-tuned from 0 to 100%, giving you full control over the intensity of the light, making it an excellent choice for live streaming, video production, photography, and other creative projects.

The zippered storage bag is particularly advantageous for organizing and protecting the light when not in use, ensuring it remains in good condition over time. Furthermore, the light can be conveniently powered via a power bank thanks to the included USB-C cable, enhancing its portability and making it ideal for on-the-go activities.

This light ring came very well packaged and was in perfect condition upon opening.��

There are many settings, some of which are preset, others which you can tinker with to meet your own needs.��

The brightness can be controlled, as can the light temperature. It comes with a sturdy stand, and a rotatable head to ensure it works best for the situation/position.��

It can be powered by mains or USB type C, so in that sense it can be used transported and used on location, which makes the carry/storage case is a real blessing.��

The phone mount is also very easy to attach, and it's also fully rotatable.��

I found this simple to use and like the control layout, which is user friendly.��

It can be used for all manner of projects and is even perfect for doing/lighting�� makeup off camera!��

It's on sale for £69.99, which seems reasonable and is in line with other products of this nature.��

I have tested quite a few Neewer products and have always been impressed with the quality. This is no exception to that rule, and I can recommend it!

Priced at £82, this has a 25% voucher at time of review making a still expensive £62. The items come in a carrying case, the ring light and fittings fit into a protective foam block.

Included is quite a good quality floor-standing light stand plus ball-head for adjusting the angle of the ring light.

The manual covers multiple languages, but the English translation is poor, using acronyms like 'CCT Mode' with no explanation. A lot of the complexity is using comes from the multiple, pointless SCENE modes like 'Defective Bulb' and the unexplained 'CCT Loop'. There is a basic mode for adjusting brightness and colour temperature but one wrong press and you'll be streaming with the lighting set to 'Welding'. Unnecessary and unhelpful.

With a maximum light output of 24W this can go very bright, on the scale of 0 to 100 I rarely needed more than 25. Also, on occasions I found long pressing the adjustments buttons would be too fast for the light to keep up and it would overshoot going too bright or too dim in a jump. The colour temp can be changed from 2900K to 7000K using a range from 29 to 70 on the controller; however the manual doesn't give a setting figure for natural daylight so I set the controller to 55 for 5500K and it looked OK.

On the plus side this does retain the last setting used when turned on and can be powered from a UBC-C hub and I assume a power bank which has a USB-C output.

Overall for me the cost, gimmicky features and poor manual are quite a let down for a NEEWER product.
