This NRS M66625 Healthcare Mowbray Lite Toilet Seat and Frame comes PRE-ASSEMBLED and has been designed and developed by NRS Healthcare to help you if you find it difficult to lower onto or rise from a standard toilet. This M66625 version is the standard width, with a gap of 453mm (17¾“) between the arms (if you need a wider version, the M92740 has a wider arm gap and is available separately).The one-piece, moulded, contoured seat has been ergonomically designed to give good thigh support and the gentle slopes give a high level of overall comfort and a front cutaway allows easier personal cleaning. The epoxy coated steel frame comes fully assembled and therefore is ready to use straight away. The numbered inner legs make height adjustment quick and easy and the frame legs have four non-slip ferrule feet to maximize stability.

Made from high-quality material, the seat is higher at the back making it particularly suitable for a person who needs extra support to sit and rise. It is also stackable and can be autoclaved up to 70 degrees C. The height to top of seat is adjustable between 400-500 mm (15.75-21.5 inches) the seat width by seat depth is 406 x 445 mm (16 x 17.5 inches), the width between frame arms is 450 mm (17.75 inches) the height to top of frame 610-770 mm (24-30 inches).

The seat is very comfortable- so much more than usual toilet seats because it is shaped for the human body, and it feels warmer too. The frame is very strong and sturdy. The dimensions of it are excellent- the arms are in just the right position to hold onto when standing up off the seat, but not so close that you haven't room to attend to yourself whilst using the loo.

I have a weak right knee, due to fracturing it a few months back, and it is part of my physiotherapy to try to put more weight on it when sitting down and standing up. The very low height of my loo was making it hard to get up without rolling to one side and using my weight on my left leg and trying to hold onto the low seat. This was resulting in straining my left leg muscles. With this seat frame I can hold onto the arm rests and put a bit of weight on the right knee and leg and start to build up the strength back.

The frame and seat arrived all put together, but because it was too low to go over my lavatory, a friend of mine adjusted it to the right height for me.

Le seul problème, c'est qu'il n'y a pas de réglage en largeur. Si vous êtes large des hanches, vous risquez de ne pas être à l'aise une fois assis. Si le même système de réglage utilisé pour régler la hauteur avait été imaginé par le constructeur pour élargir de quelques crans la largeur, cet article aurait été un must dans le genre.
