Thought this was going to be a great little gadget. I was wrong.Made one hole in moist soil - looking good!!!After 5 holes the wood split and the handle fell off. Not impressed.Would not recommend.
Not a lot to be said really. It’s nice and light and makes holes big enough for plant bulbs. It does have a depth gauge on one side that could be helpful.
This dibber broke on first use when a disabled lady was using it lightly to plant bulbs! The handle is fixed onto the shaft with a very tiny and thin nail. The nail simply split through the wood, as it was so weak. I have now repaired it by removing the nail, putting some glue where the handle and shaft meet, and then inserting a good screw through the top of the handle into the shaft. It would have been quick and cheap for the manufacturers to put a good screw through the top, but they don't bother. The good point is the wood is smooth so good to hold with no splinters.
