Old and used, terrible
This product is advertised as good condition in a box. I received it today in bubble wrap with weird green marks on 2 of the buttons. It has scratches all over it. Looks as if it's been used loads of times and chucked all over. It does not work on the Xbox like one of my controllers. I have asked for a full refund. Absolute garbage

Better than the older version of the controller due to small improvements. For instance, the bumper buttons are now far easier to press.
The new controller also allows me to use my own headphones without requiring the headphone adapter.
Worth noting that the controller is not able to use all headphones (ie apple headphones) so please see xbox guidance on compatibility.

    Standards for audio jacks
Not all 3.5-mm audio jacks are made to the same standard. There are two audio jack standards:

Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association (CTIA), and
    Open Mobile Terminal Platform (OMTP).
If you use an OMTP headset, you’ll probably experience audio or chat issues. However, if your headset or earbuds use the OMTP standard, you can purchase an adaptor to convert the device to CTIA. These adaptors are available at many electronic retail shops.

The 3.5 mm port is a nice edition. This is a slightly updated version of the controller without the 3.5 mm port. Bumpers are fine tuned and now much softer and can be clicked anywhere. Those are the small updates compared to the older version. But i was surprised that the box was opened at the british costums ,it came along with a apology letter from the costums thinking of it as a suspicious package in the first place. Which defenetly was not. Although the box was opened, the product itself was intact and undamaged .It came brand new. Definetly recomended.

This particular example wouldn't work correctly for me on PC. There were several niggles but the deal-breaker in this instance was a 'dead spot' on the left joystick which just happened to coincide with the straight ahead position. I managed to test another identical unit borrowed from a pal and the issue could not be replicated.

This particular example was a "recycled" piece, though I'm not sure to what degree, ex-demo, damaged repaired - (does it matter?), in the end I think the Xbox One controller may get more serious use than the older 360 variant, (I've bought 3 of those second-hand without issue). Whatever the reason I think on balance I'll be buying new the next time, at least then I can go back to the store it came from and say ... "it doesn't work gimme my money back" and for the extra £15 with hindsight of the headache/delay I had on this occasion that's what I should have done here.

No real supplier issue here other than quality control and delay (painfully slow) in my experience, but perfectly willing to listen and act to correct my problems.

Excellent controller!! Although I don't have a xbox one, I got this controller for the PC and honestly, its amazing. Its a much better upgrade over the xbox 360 controller and miles ahead of the PS4 controller. The buttons are tactile and well placed. It works perfectly wired or wireless. (Note: You will need a wireless adapter unless you have the bluetooth controller.)
I'd recommend you pick up this controller and a rechargeable battery pack. Once fully charged, the controller lasts me about 30-35 hours, no kidding! I have the Duracell rechargeable batteries with chager.

I bought an Xbox One Elite - the main selling point of this console was that included the Elite Controller. I wanted a second controller, but I didn't want to spend the money on a second elite controller - not because it's not great (it really is), but because it's a lot of money for a secondary controller which won't see the same sort of level of use.

The problem with this is that the elite controller spoils you - making the standard controller feel cheap in comparison. The main difference you'll notice right away is how light this is compared to the elite. In addition, the analogue sticks aren't as tight, and the buttons not as firm. Of course this doesn't have the customisation options that the elite controller has, either.

Having said all of the above though, the overall form of the controller, the shape, the button placement all has the same familiar feel, and the controller works, and feels good in the hands.

If I didn't have the elite controller to compare this to, I'd most likely be giving this 5 stars, but knowing and owning better means I have to deduct a star.

Bought this as I recently purchased a new monitor, sadly without a headphone jack. The controllers I already had for my xbox were the old ones without the 3.5mm jack so this seems the best solution to my issue (just wire this controller to my external speakers).

Looks and feels exactly like the old xbox one controller. In my opinion its the best games controller ever made, simple as.

Just a quick note also on amazon's delivery which was excellent as usual, I'm not a prime member and the free delivery took less than four days.. can't complain!

Excellent machine. I use to be a Playstation man from the PS One to the PS3 but Sony have to do something about not being able to play games on previous models on the latest issue. I thought that they cracked it with the 60Gb PS3 that would allow you to play PS2 games but the newer versions did not do this. On finding the Xbox One, it allows you to play some 360 games and will soon be fully backward compatible. Now you don't have to dream about the old games that were fun to play as you can still play them if you want to.

This pad broke after couple of weeks it's stick controller works but not properly and you can tell when playing games plus makes a weird clicking noise when u rotate it can only imagine the stick has somehow broke. Checked the return policy and it's out of date should of checked earlier but I've been really busy at the end of the day though you don't expect a brand new pad to break within a couple of weeks. Absolute s***e and whys the return policy only 30days if this is classed as an electrical items should it not be 12months even the 2nd hand ones at the game shops come with 3 months ??????????

5.0 out of 5 stars Robuster Controller mit hervorragendem Buttonlayout
Reviewed in Germany on 3 July 2016
