    OK so the packaging of this box set isn't exactly lavish but then Wham! weren't a lavishly packaged band anyway, so you're not really missing out on that much if you choose this budget version of the group's back catalogue. That said, a few credits wouldn't have gone amiss. Only the tracklisting for "Fantastic" appears on the CD's inner slipcase - and even then it's for the eight track vinyl version (from which the artwork presumably has been reproduced). To find out what songs appear on the other two discs you'll have to refer to the outer slipcase only - which also contains some errors. And as for writing and production credits - forget it, but hey, you can always have fun looking it up on Discogs. Even the CD labels don't have any information other than the album title.

    The sound quality is adequate, a bit murky, not outstanding. Other than "The Final" I've not owned either of the Wham! studio LPs on anything other than cassettes bought back in the day, but these CDs would appear to be cheaper (i.e. due to lack of artwork and label copy) reproductions of the existing "full" editions.

    FANTASTIC: The tracklisting follows the original cassette release: carrying 3 bonus instrumental mixes which follow at what would have been the end of each side of the cassette. I kind of like this interruption to the running order, if only for nostalgic reasons. Most people will know this LP for "Bad Boys", "Wham Rap", "Young Guns" and the classic "Club Tropicana", but the non-single tracks, with the possible exception of "Come On" are every bit as good (OK so "Love Machine" is a cover). "Ray of Sunshine" and "Nothing Looks the Same in the Light" are tracks that have stuck with me throughout my life since I first heard them back in 1983.

    MAKE IT BIG: Even for its time, MIB was a surprisingly minimalist (for a pop band) 8 tracker, and has never been expanded in subsequent reissues. On the release of "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" I must admit I thought at the time Wham" had lost it. Whilst I gradually grew to accept it, there's much better stuff on the album - "Everything She Wants", "Like a Baby", "If You Were There" (Isley Brothers cover), "Careless Whisper" and "Freedom". This was Wham's grown up sound but it's hard to choose a favourite between this and "Fantastic".

    MUSIC FROM THE EDGE OF HEAVEN: AKA the overseas territories version of "The Final" - included here presumably to avoid repetition of The Final's greatest hits tracks ("Last Christmas", which wasn't on an LP - though coincided with "Make It Big" - excepted). Not a proper album as such, but this still contains some very strong material - not the least of which is the band's cover of Was Not Was's "Where Did Your Heart Go". Plus there's a live version of Club Tropicana b-side "Blue".

    Other than "Blue", Wham! favoured sticking only instrumental versions on B-sides - which means that if you buy this then you will (barring those instrumentals and the odd 12" mix) have more or less their complete works. Not sure what the kids today make of Wham!, but they were a much more intelligent mainstream band than some of the "boy bands" we were subjected to in the nineties/2000s. A worthy addition to the Original Album Classics series and an excellent showcase of the genius that is George Michael's early work - which, come to mention it, would also be a good candidate for the OAC treatment?

    For £7 you get all 3 Wham! albums in 1 cardboard sleeve, how convenient. Fantastic can be a bit cheesy sometimes, but take a listen to " a ray of sunshine" "nothing looks the same in the light" and The Miracles '70's stomper "Love machine" and will be good with the (currently very odd) world.
    Music from the edge of heaven wasnt released in the UK but is nice to have here and includes Blue (live in China)

    Wham!'s three studio albums in slipcovers in a simple slipcase (the third album is the International 'Music from the Edge of Heaven' rather than the UK double 'The Final'). None of the albums have been remastered, and Fantastic contains the songs from an expanded release which makes the running order more than a little odd (additional instrumentals sit in between the regular tracks). Some day maybe Wham! will get the packaging treatment they deserve, but until then this is a good low-price option.

    Didn't find time to put my hands on "The music from the edge of heaven" before, so it was the great chance to take it all in one. After all, I realised that you can't find "Blue" anywhere released officially (CD-wise I mean) other than here, or on Japanese "Club Tropicana" single which is quite harder to find and to pay!

Original Album Classics 3CD Set. Adore the packaging, all three albums are miniatures copies of vinyl albums covers; enjoyed all the songs.

    On the album "Fantastic" discovered the song "Nothing Looks The Same In the Light". I had never heard it before, now it's become one of my favorite WHAM! songs.

    The album "Make It Big" has the "Careless Whisper ( Extended Mix )". Not even seen/heard on the official video! And we all know how great "Careless Whisper" has become; it has passed one billion viewing on youtube!

    The album "Music From The Edge Of Heaven" has the rare "Blue ( Live in China ) and my favorite WHAM! love ballot " A Different Corner". On the album songs "The Edge Of Heaven, and "I'm Your Man" you can hear George Michael transitioning into his solo career as the theme and the lyrics are adult in nature.

    Great sound quality on the albums "Fantastic" and "Make It Big". The album "Music From The Edge Of Heaven" sound is a bit low; you will really need to raise the volume to get the best sound quality.

    Not included with this set are the song lyrics. You can always go online to lyric websites to find them.
