I bought this fan to use in a fairly large bedroom. It is packaged fully assembled and is shiny, sleek and modern looking - much better than the white plastic alternatives. It can be placed on the floor, desk, any surface really. Angle of the fan is vertically adjustable - can point straight up to the ceiling if desired.

The fan's three speed settings are well spaced and whilst not whisper quiet, it is not noisy even on the fastest setting - as an example you shouldn't need to turn up your TV unless you generally watch it with the sound right down.

Cooling power is more than adequate for a large bedroom. The fan blades are metal and seem to be much more effective than similarly sized plastic blades.

You might want to consider the bigger versions of this fan for a very large room or for use in a gym or on an exercise bike, or if you are using it in a hotter place than the south coast of England.

The power cable is reassuringly thick; a little on the short side but not a problem - depending on placement you might need an extension cable; I don't.

Can't comment on longevity but construction is excellent so can't imagine any issues.

Bought this as it has been quite hot recently and we didn't currently own a fan, mainly wanted one we can have on at night while we sleep.
Decided upon a floor one rather than a tall standing one due to it looking more sturdy and it can just be placed on a table.
The casing, blade and frame are all metal, the tiny feet, buttons and control box are plastic. This does mean it's not the lightest but it's not all that heavy either, there's a little handle on the back to pick it up with and could easily be moved from room to room.

It has 3 speed settings and an off of course. 0 is off. 1 is the slower setting, 2 being the medium setting and 3 is the highest setting.
1 is quite strong in itself and I can't see me using the other two speeds much unless it gets rediculously hot. The sound isnt too loud, I found it enough to be able to sleep through it no problem.
2 is a bit stronger than 1 which I find useful to lower the temperature in a small-medium room. This one's also a little louder.
3 is very strong and the one setting I'm unlikely to use unless I need to cool off quickly. It is quite loud and for me would be too loud to have on without it disturbing my TV or music sound.
It's a 50w fan and for us with a prepay meter and our supplier it costs no more than 1.5p per hour on the highest setting.

The fan cage doesn't rotate or tilt forwards at all but does go backwards until it's facing up and goes a little further back than that. It can be placed on the floor or a table just fine, I currently use it on a cabinet.
It runs off mains power so it does need to be close to a plug, the cable is roughly 5ft. It's about 15inches tall at its tallest, 16 1/2inches wide and 8inches depth if the fans facing forward but 15inches if facing upwards.
Overall im quite pleased with it, only time will tell on how long it lasts.
