Pharmepa COMPLETE provides a concentrated dose of omega-3 EPA & DHA from wild fish oil, perfectly balanced with omega-6 GLA from cold-pressed evening primrose oil at an optimal 3:1 ratio. We provide an exceptional 80% concentration of EPA & DHA in the most bioavailable re-esterified triglyceride form. Blister packaging and added vitamin E ensures unrivalled protection against oxidation, avoiding the need for refrigeration. We also add natural lemon flavour to the oil to ensure no fishy odour or reflux.

Balanced omega-3 & omega-6

Pharmepa COMPLETE balances omega-3 with omega-6 at an optimal ratio of 3:1 by combining wild fish oil with cold-pressed evening primrose oil.

Fish oil provides omega-3 EPA and DHA, but as EPA has a higher turnover rate in the body, we have formulated this product to provide an optimal 2:1 ratio of EPA to DHA for long term balance. Evening primrose oil is a rich source of omega-6 GLA, and is also a source of omega-6 LA and omega-9 oleic acid, providing a complete omega-3-6-9 balance.

High absorption rTG form

Omega-3 is found in different molecular forms, with the advanced re-esterified triglyceride (rTG) form offering unrivalled absorption, without relying on the availability of fat in the diet. Absorbed in the same way as triglyceride, rTG omega-3 is more than twice as concentrated, so it can deliver higher levels of EPA and DHA directly into cells where they are needed most.

rTG also works faster to restore omega balance – raising levels of EPA and DHA in cells 3.5x more than standard fish oil and 5x more than krill oil. Splitting the dose can also improve absorption.

Super concentrated small softgels

This 80% concentrated wild fish oil has been expertly formulated to provide an effective, intensive dose without over-saturating the body. At more than twice the concentration of a standard fish oil, each serving provides 1000mg of the active omega-3 EPA and DHA.

The softgels are smaller but contain more active ingredients as the re-esterified triglyceride (rTG) form provides a higher concentration of omega-3 EPA & DHA per volume of oil. As fat absorption is limited in the body, this ensures more EPA & DHA is efficiently absorbed.

Wild fish oil & free from mercury

Our fish oil is responsibly sourced from wild deep-sea fish including anchovies, sardines & mackerel, which are less prone to pollutant build-up than larger longer-lived species.

The oil is sourced from fish body oil as it is purer than fish liver oil, and is purified using molecular distillation, ensuring it is free from methylmercury, PCBs and dioxins. Our oils are checked to ensure purity, active ingredients, nutritional value and safety.

Virgin evening primrose oil

Our evening primrose oil is extracted using a gentle, cold-press process that retains meaningful levels of plant sterols, triterpenes and polyphenols. These phytochemicals support multiple roles in health including the support of inflammatory processes and oxidative balance.

So there are two big problems with omega 3 fish oils - heavy metals and rancid oils. This one has neither. Pharmaepa is a brand I trust. You can email them to request the certificates to check the heavy metal content which I’ve previously done and they were very helpful. One good way to always check rancidness is to cut a capsule and smell it. This way you can rest assured you’re taking good omegas. Excellent quality product.

Have been using these for a while and notice the difference if I stop taking them for short periods as I am then less resilient! I think they are particularly beneficial post menopause, but also for anyone who suspects they are low in omega 3 (fish, nuts and seeds) who needs to keep mentally sharp and physically active. There are many other nutrients required for health, but as Mediterranean diets are cited as among the healthiest with their rich sources of Omega 3s, it seems worthwhile considering this kind of supplement unless you are prepared to eat masses of linseed, or fresh oily fish.

The box arrived crushed with the capsule strips loose and crushed in the ��غ�� envelope packet. The product is non-returnable to Igennus and, in fairness, upon contact, Igennus Customer Services provided detailed & helpful advice via email on how to navigate ��غ�� to transact a return (hence 2 stars for that) but ��غ�� will not process return after 30 days. Disappointed not to try the product itself.

There was no protective wrapping or seal on the product box either which you would expect to have for oral capsules. More robust packaging from manufacturer, Igennus, could have perhaps avoided the problem with ��غ�� distribution/delivering it crushed. The product price I notice today can fluctuate a lot - my purchase was a the high end at the £20+ mark.

UPDATE: Igennus customer services were proactive sent a replacement pack, well packaged. I have had benefits from the capsules.

I've bought these, and the VegEPA Restore supplements a few times before, over a year ago. I took them regularly, to boost and then to maintain Omega 3 levels, in the hopes of boosting my mood and energy levels. I'm not sure I noticed a massive change back then (I was also doing other things, and reading/trying to implement the ideas from a book called 'The Upward Spiral').
This time around, I wanted to take them more for general health than for mood. However, I'm not sure what it was about this batch, but within about 30 mins, I kept burping every few minutes, every time I took them. I would go for a week or so and then try again for a few days, but the burping was really unpleasant and kind of uncomfortable, indigestion-y and a bit nauseating, so I had to stop taking them.
