Got these for my lad who can't use oven mitts and who has quite large hands. These apparently fit really well, with the cuffs extending far enough up the wrist to provide some protection from accidental burns should you need to reach right into the depths of your oven. People with small or maybe even medium hands might want to think about sizing though, to avoid having the ends of the fingers flapping around. They do provide good insulation against heat, but I wouldn't back them for prolonged exposure to heat (i.e., holding something for more than 10 seconds) as I suspect heat will penetrate. They are easy to clean though and hold their shape well, being a simple double-wall construction, you can even turn them inside out should the need arise. Not surprisingly, you can't wear these and operate a smart phone screen - although why you would try defeats me.
