I bought this knowing that it is not a lightweight device nor the least expensive.
I have not been disappointed. The large round ball locking knob is an excellent feature and works perfectly compared with the sort of levers used on other things. It will be no problem to use even wearing thick gloves.
It is so precise that the separate friction knob is really not necessary. Lockup is absolutely solid and I have detected no movement when doing so.
My first experience with Neewer products and highly impressed.
That said my one did have a problem with another of the control knobs which I think was very unusual and unlucky.
Neewer were responsive and have sorted it out to my satisfaction.
This is a very nicely made and well thought through design. Too early yet to comment on longer usage but immediate impressions are that it should be excellent.
The separate upper pano rotator is an excellent addition which can be removed to save weight when not needed or swapped over to say a lighter weight travel setup. This alone would be fairly expensive for one of this quality which again excellent.
Much better than having it integrated into the head as so many others do .
I will have no hesitation in buying more Neewer products in the future.
