I have a Ring camera that has a quick release battery but I don't have a spare battery for it and find myself having to take it offline for several hours while charging it, once I have scrambled around to find my micro-USB cable! Therefore I was really excited to try out this pack of 2 quick release batteries and docking station.

Both batteries arrived fully charged which was an added bonus. The docking station has a LED display to show you the current charge progress, which is super handy. It also has an integrated USB cable that slots underneath so that you don't lose it. I think this is great design and really convenient.

The batteries seem to perform as well as the OEM Ring versions and I couldn't find any issue whatsoever. This is such a great product that I am tempted to replace my other existing Ring doorbell with the quick release version too.

I think this is a fantastic product and priced fairly considering what you are getting. Highly recommended !

Okay, so.

✅ One of the batteries has been working fine so far in my doorbell. I cannot tell you if it lasts as long as a branded battery; I'll come back and edit the review if it does not.
✅ The batteries come pre-charged.
✅ The charger works just as well to charge a branded battery.
✅ The charging level indicator is very helpful - although it did seem a bit confused at the beginning of charging; I put in a branded battery that was on 30%, and it insisted it was on 55%. It stayed on 55% for a very long time, presumably long enough for it to get to actually 55%, at which point it started going up steadily until it reached 100%.
✅ You get two batteries, and a charger, for less money than it would cost to buy two branded batteries (a little less if you get this for the full price of £45.99, a fair bit less if you get it for the currently-discounted price of £35.99). It's an even better deal if you also want a charger, since the branded version is as expensive as a battery on its own.

⛔ The power cable is approximately 18cm long. Depending on how high off the floor your plug sockets are, this may not be long enough. It's juuuuuuust enough for some of my sockets, and very much too short for others. Measure first. (The charger does have an input port you can use a longer cable with, but you need to know you need one in the first place...)

Should you get this? Ehhhhh. Hugely depends on how many Ring devices you have that use these batteries. If you've just got a doorbell... no point. Get a single battery (branded or otherwise) and charge it with a cable. If you have multiple devices that use the batteries however, it would make sense as a purchase. But do shop around, in case price matters to you, as you may find cheaper.

Although in the past I have recharged my Ring batteries by simply inserting a micro USB charging plug directly into the battery, I guess there may be added convenience in having a 2 battery charging stand, especially if you have several battery powered Ring devices. The power readout on the charger is also good to have, if not really necessary. Charging takes as long as it takes and the battery itself has an indicator showing when it is fully charged.

The two batteries seem solidly made and fit well into the Ring devices. The capacity of these batteries at 6040 mph is very slightly higher than that of the originals which are 5960 mAh.

The charger has a short attached lead with a USB A plug. However it measures slightly over 6 inches so unless you can put the charger very near to a charger port it will be unusable. However there is a USB C socket on the charger allowing you to use your own longer cable.

At a current cost of £45.99 with a 15% voucher this set is reasonably priced assuming that the batteries last well. The current cost of two OEM batteries without the charging base would be considerably more than this. However other 3rd party batteries with a similar specification can be found on the ��غ�� site for far less, even some with a charging stand though without the LED readout as far as I have seen. I cannot speak for the quality of these others however. I will give a rating of 4 stars though because, cost aside, the batteries seem good and the charger an added convenience.
