when this arrived there was a defective weld on it , i contacted the makers with photos and within 24hrs my item had been replaced so overall very happy
Really useful and versatile piece of equipment. Really like it. Bolts to put it together need some bigger washers than those supplied. It feels a little wobbly on the highest setting with just 80kg on it, so I worry about how stable it will be when I get some more plates to put on it. Over all really good for the money though.
I bought this during the ongoing pandemic to restart my 5x5 stronglifts programme. I chose this one only becauseI don't have a lot of room, it was relatively inexpensive and could be delivered within 4 days. I honestly should have bought something else and been prepared to wait a little longer. The stand itself if fairly sturdy until you load more than 100kg onto a bar, then it becomes wobbly. The spotter arms are welded on at a strange height and are very short, meaning that if you're under average height, you can't squat low enough within the stand, meaning you have to step back making the spotter arms redundant. This fixed spotter arm position also means that this stand is no good for benching as the weight plates can catch on them when you're lifting. I'm giving it 3 stars because the welding is generally good and it's easy to put together. If you're shorter than average height (like me) or expect to be squatting more than 100kg (like me), avoid this model and get something with adjustable height spotter arms.
I know this was cheap, but c'mon...it's rusty and scratched all over, it doesn't align so it's incredibly unstable, I only weight 57kg and I can't bring myself to let it hold me on the dip bars, when I finally did let go, it separates a bit, as there's play in the centre bar. The welding you can see is totally subpar. It looks horrendous and I honestly don't trust it. That'll teach me to cheap out.
