Some confusion on the original title of this, it said 'easy release' this did not mean you could release the mouse which was somewhat misleading but the traps do say they will kill the mouse.
We sadly have a mouse issue as we live close to fields and they come in and eat the wiring and poop all over the place.
These work, I do not know how quickly they die but I hope it is instantaneous, the spring seems strong and they are definitely dead in the morning.
A necessary evil.

Absolute rubbish. These traps do not trigger. Instead they are covered feeding stations. Had a mouse trapped in our fireplace but couldn't reach it. We thought it had escaped but no, it was hiding in the trap. Bought two, the other trap just had the bait stolen but never triggered. Don't waste your money on this rubbish.

At first I thought that this was "catch & Release" as it says in the description, but according to the box it says "quick humane kill"..
I gave it 3 stars because of the build, it is very well made seems very sturdy.. and if you are looking for the latter result this will do it...

It is very easy to set and when the trap goes off the release section doesn't pop open I just didn't close it properly.

All I am saying is would have to be a tiny mouse if it was to be released , as the trap are is very small.

I hope this helps, but not for me, don't want to risk hurting the mouse 🐀

NOT a humaine mouse trap! I had thought that this a catch and release trap, but it's not; I prefer that method, so I haven't used it.

As a normal mouse trap, it seems well designed, with a very clean and safe (for humans) design; the bit that snaps down onto the mouse is in the tunnel, so you'd have to put your hand into the tunnel to set it off.

With that said, I have set it off onto my finger, and it wasn't anything like as strong as some of the simple wooden plate and wire designs. It didn't really hurt, and definitely wouldn't leave a bruise, so I don't know if it is actually be strong enough to kill the mice.

Assuming that it does kill mice, then it is a well designed, easy to operate and clean mouse trap, so 4*. I think I'd feel a bit happier if I was certain that it was powerful enough to kill the mouse outright, though.

These "Catch and Release" mousetraps are ok if you want to "Catch and Release" a dead mouse. Other than that, they are just ordinary mouse traps with a frosted perspex "tunnel" which insulates you from the horror of your kill. For some reason I thought that "Catch and Release" offered the opportunity to release my visitors unharmed, but apparently this is not the case. My mice are accustomed to this type of trap and are not stupid!
