The adapter comes in a ziplock bag with a separate keyring clip. There is no documentation, but its straightforward to use.

It feels reasonably robust with an aluminium body, but the two plastic connector covers are not overly tight. I suspect these may easily get lost in regular use. The keyring chain and clip is a nice touch and is well made. However, as the overall adaptor is relatively large, I suspect most people will not use it. You are limited in how far you can hinge the USB A cover out of the way, which could limit use of the microUSB plug on thicker devices.

I was not able to test the micro USB plug as I have no devices that support it. I tested the adapter with a microSD card, an SD card and a USB drive. All combinations of card/connectors worked as expected. The adapter has a built in blue LED to show when its in use.

Its worth noting that the adapter is only USB 2.0 which is mentioned in the advert. This is fine for occasional small file transfer, but could be limiting for larger file transfers. There are USB 3.0 adapters available at similar prices.

Overall a reasonable quality adapter but a little limited by only being USB 2.0.

I’ve used this 3-in-1 card reader to transfer photos and videos between my micro SD card, and my memory stick. However, you can't copy them directly from the Micro SD card to the memory stick, which I had both plugged into this reader. You have to copy them from one media slot to the PC and then from the PC back onto the other media slot where you want the files to go.

It’s plug-and-play, and the multiple connectors, USB-A, USB-C, and Micro USB connectors make this very versatile, in that you don't need any other additional adapters to transfer and view your files you files. The Micro USB interface is very cleverly designed into the USB-A connector and you simply open up the end of it to reveal the Micro SD connector.

Through my testing I determined that this was running at USB 2.0 speeds and NOT USB 3.0 as the slots on my laptop are USB 3.0 and it must have took nearly twice as long to copy the same amount of data using this adapter, even though I had it plugged into my PC using the USB-C connector, thinking that would be the fastest. However, the positive side to this is that you can get the job done but it just takes you twice as long. That's not normally an issue as you can just do other things whilst the files copy.

The build quality of this also leaves a lot to be desired. The shell of it is plastic and the connectors at each end don't appear to be the most robust and doesn't look like they will stand a lot of wear and tear.

Overall this is a very average connector all around. Average performance, average build, and average portability as it's not as small as I expected. However it does work and will get you out of a spot of bother if you just through it in a laptop bag with you when you are on your travels. Although it comes with a keychain it's a little too big to carry on a chain with your keys. Also there is the fear of breaking it with all the other metal keys around it. The low price point makes it worth getting as at £4.99 you're not exactly breaking the bank to get it, but it definitely only warrants 3 stars, which to me is the sign of an average product.

This is a fairly chunky multi-USB-reader, it has three connectors, USB, USB-C and a micro-USB which is hidden within the USB connector. The latter is not readily visible from the product listing, unless you know what you are looking at. The micro USB is accessible by folding up the majority of the main USB connector. This is a nice addition.

The adapter comes with a a key chain, which is fairly pointless, since its far too large to go on your key ring and your keys would get in the way of the USB sockets. The product doesn't feel premium grade with its choice of materials.

Speed wise, using a reference 64Gb SanDisk Extreme Pro card, I achieve data rates of 184MB/Sec read rate and a 105MB/sec write rate. Using the same card in this adapter, I achieve a paltry 22.6MB/sec read rate and a 27.25MB/sec write rate, so the adapter is clearly working at USB2 speeds, not USB3 speeds. This is also apparent by the black connectors in the USB plug.

Repeating the same tests with an Integral USB memory stick, with the stick in the USB3 hub, I get 210.22MB/sec read and 26.63MB/sec write. When using this adapter, I get a paltry 40.77MB/sec read and 7.74MB/sec write.

Overall, this is a nice idea with the extra micro-USB connector, but being only USB2, the data rates are really low. The form factor is also larger than competing products that do the same job. I'd give this one a miss.
