I’d been looking for a card reader to off load static content tgst was chomping up space on my MacBook. Yes, there are a lot of options out there but I really wanted something that could be left in place all the time and I really hate things dangling. When I saw this I was a bit sceptical as it was less than a fiver! Anyway, bought it, shoved the card in it (how do you get 512gb on a card that size?) and plugged it in. It flashed blue continually and I was thinking I won’t be able to live with that but after about 15 minutes it stopped so I think it was just being indexed by the OS. So it’s working very well so far and I’ve freed up half a TB of space. It’s a bit slower loading content (it’s all music sample libraries) than from the internal SSD as you’d expect but its very marginal. Well worth it and less than a price of a pint!
