These are precisely made and have excellent compatibility with all of my Manfrotto pieces.
I believe the most common series of unbranded clones of 200PL/RC2 adapters, the cheap 5 dollar ones with the light gray plate coming out of whatever mystery factory in China, have experienced manufacturing drift over time. I have an early one - the angles are precise, the locking system is snappy, the compatibility with real Manfrotto is high. Then, I assume through some combination of tooling wearing down and clones of clones, they started getting worse - dimensional drift, lumpy surfaces, rounded off angles and filled in corners, slop in the lock, incompatibility with real Manfrotto.
These are not that. And since these are Neewer and whatever factories they deal with, I expect that these will not become that.
The screw heads are flat/hex head rather than tool-free, so put them on longer-term applications - I have mine on my larger lenses where I intend to leave them permanently.
