Ok, I have to say it did take more effort than just spraying the carpet and it magically took the paint away. I wet the carpet probably a bit more than Rug Doctor anticipated, rubbing it in with a small sponge in a circular motion. I then applied heat and moisture using a Polti Steam Cleaner with the small brush head, not the small round one for clarity. Then using good quality kitchen paper and standing on it, to remove the stain and when dry repeated the whole process again and now it looks the best part of the carpet. However, given that the alternative was a new carpet, worth the effort. It works well on ordinary stains as suggested by Rug Doctor. I do like Rug Doctor products particularly the Urine remover.
