Consistent ink flow to the very last stroke, making them suitable for handwriting.
The specialised GellyRoll ink is designed not to feather, smear, or bleed through most papers, as well as be fade resistant and waterproof.
These pens are perfect for drawing and colouring and are suitable for most paper types including light and dark paper, matte or glossy finish, photographic and most coated papers.
Each pen features a medium point 0.8mm nib and contains white ink.
The GellyRoll pens meet ACMI non-toxicity standards and are not recommended for use on fabrics intended to be washed. They are also not recommended for cosmetic use on the skin.

Gelly Roll
In 1984 vond Sakura een nieuw soort inkt uit, gebaseerd op gel en die in veel prachtige kleuren gemaakt kon worden. De wereld maakte voor het eerst kennis met de gelpen, genaamd Gelly Roll, die sindsdien bekend is geworden om haar prachtige schrijfresultaat waarbij je niet hoeft te drukken. Het schrijft heerlijk en ligt soepel in de hand. Inmiddels bestaat Gelly Roll in veel soorten kleuren en effecten zoals Stardust (glitter), Metallic (glanzend) en Moonlight (fluorescerend). Superleuk voor het beschrijven van wenskaarten, maar ook voor tekenen en decoreren!

I like drawing animals in coloured pencils but was struggling to get fine whiskers on my finished piece. After a bit of research I discovered these type of pens. They deliver a fine bright white line over the top of your coloured pencil. There are other methods to obtain the finish I wanted but this seemed the most straightforward. So you get 3 pens in a pack. Initially I thought only one of them was working but after a lot of vigorous shaking I did manage to get them all working. The downside is I have to shake them before every use as they do have a tendency not to flow smoothly. Once you have them working you can create fine white lines which is great. I actually go over the lines with white pencil marks after it’s dried to tone down its brightness. It looks a bit more natural once I’ve done that and I’m hoping by doing that the colour across the picture will remain intact as I know mixing different mediums can affect the long term finish of my project. I’ve also found with these pens that the tip needs wiping with a bit of tissue regularly as they pick up the wax off your pencils and stop working. So in conclusion these did the job but they weren’t that easy to use and were temperamental. So they were good but not fantastic.

This pack of three Gelly Roll bright white 0.4mm medium pens are great. Wanted them for art and craft work, especially highlighting images. The bright white opaque ink flows well and covers dark colours well. Lovely for highlighting areas on coloured-in stamped images on cards. Would recommend.
The description on the packaging is accurate, i.e. "Three pens (medium) for bright white lines. Water-based pigment gel ink: constant flow of ink, waterproof and fade resistant. Perfect for drawing, writing and adding highlights on dark paper." They do what it says on the box.
Can't comment on longevity as not had them long.

Absolutely fantastic bright white Gelly pens for the price.

Pack of 3 bright white Gelly roll pens, I've been buying a few different cheaper brands of these to try and find a good one for over colouring and painting.

This is perfect for both but honestly, there is a bit of a nack to it but if you mess up you can layer slightly too if needed.

How I use it..
I don't fully put the pen down to the paper or canvas. I put it down far enough to touch the paper but not actually pressing on the paper, this allows a good amount of colour to come out, otherwise you may find yourself trying to colour with it which could create a scratchy effect, or keep going over areas. To prevent a scratchy effect, apply the method above and take your time.

If you have missed an area, or one part hasn't come out quite right, wait until the ink is dry, this doesn't take long, the look for any gaps you may have missed, if you need to layer, very gently apply the same method but try and be a little bit more delicate this time going over the top.

These are great, I would absolutely recommend them. Definitely worth having a practise with first. They go over most colours, even black! Red took a little extra ink but as long as you're taking your time, they should help your art, for a cheapish price!

Je découvre les Sakura dont j'entendais parler depuis longtemps.
La sensation pendant l'écriture ou le dessin est très douce. Le blanc est très couvrant et intense, il n'y a pas besoin de repasser sur le trait. Comme l'encre ne sèche pas tout de suite, on peut l'estomper au doigt et obtenir des fondus.
Sur papier noir, le résultat est intense et vraiment magnifique.
J'aurais aimé qu'on puisse dessiner sur tous les supports avec ces stylos, par exemple sur le verre.
En tous cas, comparés aux Poscas qui bavent, qui ne sont pas assez opaques et au débit cahotique, c'est un pur bonheur !
