How we got our start
Like many small businesses we started in an understanding parent’s back bedroom, packing up our kits by hand and developing recipes in the family kitchen. We’ve grown entirely from word of mouth and now we’re lucky enough to have a couple of employees and a premises of our own.
What makes our product unique
Our kits let you make foods and drinks at home that you never realized were possible. Our Gin Making Kit is a great example, letting you turn inexpensive vodka into delicious artisan Gin in under a week. Our kits also make great gifts for friends and family.

"How did you come up with the idea for this product?

We have two great loves in our lives; making food and eating food. For years we have been making our own cheese, home-brew ginger beer, the list goes on. After repeated calls from friends for lessons to show them how, we finally decided to put together kits to make the whole process easy.

What makes your product special?

Our DIY kits are perfect for beginners and include absolutely everything you need to get started. All our kits also come with a lifetime of support, so if you have any questions we're always here to help.

What has been the best part of your experience?

We've loved developing our signature recipes, which takes months of obsessive testing before we are ready to launch a product. We also provide full support and it's always a pleasure answering your questions.

Exciting DIY gin infusion kit
This is a beautifully packaged and well thought out product.It has everything you need (except alcohol; you use supermarket plain vodka as the base spirit, unless you have a pot still in the shed!)) to make your own gin.I got one for christmas and immediately bought another for my sister in law for her birthday.I'm on my first batch so cannot yet comment on flavour, but since all the botanicals are natural i am hoping for great things.Highly recommended and an excellent gift idea for gin lovers.

    Well, well, well, where do I even begin with the Sandy Leaf Farm Gin Making Kit? Let's just say my adventure in becoming a "master gin distiller" was a journey full of giggles, spills, and a sprinkle of citrusy chaos.

    Ingredients Galore:
    Upon opening the kit, I felt like a mad scientist ready to concoct the elixir of life. The array of ingredients was impressive, and I couldn't help but feel a little like Professor Snape in a Hogwarts potion class.

    Citrusy Conundrum:
    I dived headfirst into the "Pink & Citrus Flavour Spice Blends" – a phrase that sounded more like a magical spell than a recipe. As I poured, mixed, and swirled, I wondered if I was crafting gin or accidentally summoning a fruity ghost.

    The Waiting Game:
    After the "spell" was cast, I had to wait. Patience is not my strong suit, so I was peeking into the container every five minutes, expecting to see a genie or a citrus parade in progress.

    I must confess to being a little sceptical at first but still plumped for the 8 bottle kit as a present for my gin loving wife. So we are now three bottles in having done the chocolate orange, hibiscus rose and the Christmas gin. The process didn't start well as we found we were missing on of the vital botanical mixes so I emailed the sellers on a Sunday evening - and got a reply back within the hour with an apology and the missing botanicals were posted to us the next morning plus a complementary home infusion kit - mistakes do happen but it's how they are dealt with that matters and I couldn't ask for more.

    The kit says 2 days for the junipers and then a further 2 days for the rest of the botanicals, but my suggestion would be to at least double these times as we felt on tasting during the process that the flavours continued to enhance the longer it was left. I think if you try to do it too quickly it is going to come out still tasting a bit too much of vodka so patience is worth it. Really worth it because the flavours so far have been excellent. I blind tested the chocolate orange against Tanqueray Sevilla with family and they all picked the chocolate orange! But...........the Christmas gin....wow it was superb. We had family over for Christmas and let's just say it didn't last very long! I only wish I could buy the Christmas botanicals on their own and have it throughout the year. I hope the rest are as good but I would highly recommend this product - just remember not to rush the process.

    This was a gift from our son that we had not done anything with till lockdown arrived, but once we had made our first batch of three different flavoured gins, we were away and now have a new hobby. We are real fans of craft gins and cannot believe how easy it is to create your own (and so much cheaper than buying a commercially produced one!). The instructions are clear, the amounts of botanicals are generous and even more generous is the provision of instructions how to make up your own mixes once you have used up the base mixture provided. We have since bought more supplies and have bought three more kits to give as Christmas presents to gin-loving friends. All the little bits of equipment are also provided, so no waiting needed, just buy your vodka and find a glass steeping jar and off you go. My only quibble is that the company does not seem to sell refills of the herbs. We have had to source those elsewhere but would rather have bought from the people who so brilliantly introduced us to taste heaven.

    I purchased this as a birthday present for my daughter and she was delighted with it, she told me about all the different flavours you could make.
    There’s a very in depth little book with this pack with really interesting information on creating your own flavours and how to get in touch with Sandy Leaf Farm if you need help or just have a general question or further ordering.
    Papa got her a bottle of vodka to get her started, as it is illegal to brew your own alcohol at home. She made chocolate orange gin first and said it was very very tasty 😋 so we are looking forward to tasting future bottles of homemade gin. Fantastic pack, well worth the money and a perfect gift for a gin fan.

    Just got my 3rd kit and really have enjoyed all the summery ones we’ve made. I would encourage you to try the more wintery recipes as well. The “Ho ho ho”, and “gingerbread” surprisingly are favorites and lots of fun when we were with family last December!

    Wonderful gift for the gin lover. Just a few recipes in and I'm sincerely enjoying the different flavors. The botanicals are varied to allow for a wide range of tastes and the process is easy. I didn't use the strainer or the funnel - easier to use a coffee filter and a typical cooking funnel for a finer filtered product.

    The only problem? The don't sell refills of the botanicals! (Big hint Sandy Leaf - you'd sell out the store if you did!)
