Yes, a CR123A Battery is included.
Can I use my own router to pair with eufy Security Entry Sensor?
No, you can only use eufy Security HomeBase to pair with eufy Security Entry Sensor.
Can I use it in outdoor environment?
No, it is designed for indoor use only (Not Weatherproof).
How can I know if I need to change the battery?
There's low battery life notification, which will inform you when the battery level is lower than 10%.
How to install the entry sensor?
Step 1: Peel off the mounting tape and stick or screw the sensor onto the door or window you want to monitor.
Step 2: Stick the magnet part onto the frame of this door or window near the entry sensor's printed ''Magnet'' wording.
Note: Please make sure the distance between entry sensor and the magnet is shorter than 1.5in.

Someone could unplug the eufy speaker unit very easily during a break in if they knew where it was so it’s not as robust as hardwired systems. I bought 3 of them to use it for my front door, patio and a window. Works with magnetic technology, innovative thought. Very easy to install and connects to existing Homebase 3.(I think it works with Homebase 2 as well). Whenever the door is opened or closed I get instant alerts on my mobile app. Battery still shows 100% even after using for 2months continuously.
It would be good to get to get alerts if the door is not locked.

This was amazingly simple to setup and connect to my Homebase 2 that I already had setup with my Eufy Cameras. It sticks in place with 3m stickers and sends notifications to my iPhone and Apple Watch when the windows are opened or closed. The history of events are shown in the app so you can review things.
Eufy seems to be setting there products priority for privacy in terms of everything being processed in your house rather than being sent to a server where your data is potentially being harvested, leaked, or sold. This is very impressive in times when we are worried about privacy. It also has the benefit of removing a monthly subscription! Think about how much of a trick others companies are....”buy our over priced camera, pay us a subscription to be able to look at your recordings, we get to look at your data!”. With Eufy this is not the case. Free to use and private.
However......I may have to return these as they don’t quite meet my needs/expectations. The cameras integrate with homekit and therefore other smart devices. These just say door is open, door is closed..alarm on base station goes off.....that’s all. They can’t turn your lights on or off or even set the alarms off on other eufy cameras which seems daft.

They do what they say they do very well. Easy, simple and private. However I feel that in today’s smart home they need better integration with at least the companies other products. Hopefully it’s just a software update and a flick of a switch.

I have already purchased one of these and was apprehensive the first time that I had to install and configure it on a Homebase 2 Hub...but it was simple and has worked reliably ever since, even after I upgraded to a S380 Homebase 3 Hub. I have now bought another sensor to use within the same installation and it installed even quicker using the EUFY security app on an Android handset and is simple to label and to select a sound, if required. Now I intend to forget about it because it works without fault and battery seems to last forever. To be honest...an excellent item, reasonably priced, well constructed and RELIABLE. Not often that I can say that about technology. Buy with confidence. Arrived next day too with Prime. Many thanks EUFY. (FYI...ensure that Homebase and ethernet hub are located in a ventilated area and cannot overheat as this will cause problems with remote access to storage. It says it in the instructions too. Thought I'd mention it...always learning.)

After considering all alternatives, I decided to get this Eufy camera set+home base and I am really satisfied. The cameras give a good image quality on your mobile, and you can always connect and check the live feed. It has night vision too, which makes it possible to get a clear video in any situation. Its face recognition system makes it so the alarm only goes off if a human is seen, so you won't get an alert if anything irrelevant happens. You can still get a notification for a movement detected, so you can check in any case. Everything is controlled via the app, you can make your custom schedule so the alarm is on when you go to work and automatically turns off when you get back. Battery life for the wireless cameras is extremely good, I think in a year I only charged them once, and they were still about at half charge anyway. Set up is very easy, and takes a matter of minutes.
