Like everybody I have been stripping wires by hand for ages, using a sharp stanley style knife and some pliers, but when faced with this adapter to strip and re-solder I decided enough was enough and so made the jump to invest in some professional wire strippers - and boy am I glad I did!
These are quite frankly game changing in how quickly and accurately they can strip wires - I didn't even have to make any adjustments straight out of the box as they auto adjust and worked straight away with all the different wire sizes used in the photographs
I'm not sure about the cheaper ones, they might be just as good, but I did a bit of research on the Internet before buying these and the choice of professionals seems to be "blue handled Kleins"
If you are thinking of buying these, I would say do :)
