Now I've used this for a few months i can leave a more informed review.
This is fab!
Perfect for making your own potting mixes by mixing the various grades of filtrate\residue that you get.
The residue on the fine mesh for example has almost no fine particles so is super free draining, perfect for cacti/succulents.
Possibly a little too free draining, so maybe a 90%/10% course/fine mix for a little moisture retention.
Why not go mad and buy some vermicompost and grade that.
Reverse the cacti mix and your ferns will be happy in their pot of posh mud.
The cacti look happy anyway & considering how expensive succulent compost is this has paid for itself already.

The item is made of pleasingly bright shiny metal. It looks a bit too bright for stainless steel, more like chromium plated ordinary steel. It is magnetic and some stainless steels are not magnetic but some are. If I get it wet I will dry it out quickly. Actually what is called stainless steel should not be so called because it is not truly stainless. It should be called stain resistant. The interchangeable sieves are a good fit in the frame. The construction looks well made and robust but I have not filled it with anything heavy. I measured the hole sizes by poking a selection of various sized drills through the mesh and found the hole sizes to be 1.8 mm, 4.9 mm and 6.3 mm. The frame fits snugly in my bucket an inch or so below the rim of the bucket which is ideal. I have used it to separate a large number of randomly assorted nuts, bolts and washers into small, medium and large sizes, and to separate sand from gravel. I have treated it fairly gently so far so cannot comment in depth on its robustness but I'm very happy with it and it has been good value for money.
