These 5 Star folders are non slip and thick enough/strong enough to take a good number of papers/documents.

There are a lot of thinner similar products out there that claim to be 5 star, at a slightly lower price, but often they are thinner and skimpy, and not non-slip. I ordered some of these that claim to be 5 Star/90 micron thick, but when they arrived, they came without a box as advertised, and therefore without confirmation that they were 90 microns thick. I was able to return them because I still had some of the original 5 star product in original box, and therefore could prove that the new supply was not the same as originals.

These are matt finished and so don't spew papers everywhere when you reach over the desk to grab the folder likely the shiny ones. They are clear and transparent so you can easily read the first page of the documents inside. They are thinner and less stiff than some other brands, however, they don't tear easily or split at the seam like some of my more expensive folders have. I attach a sticky label on the outside and they don't peel off or curl at the ends. With being thinner they can hold more sheets than recommended but that will distort the shape a little. I'm a student and these are great for organising large amounts of notes and papers, however, I wouldn't have an issue receiving it to hold a presentation pack - I think the quality is there. Overall, I think a great price for a quality product to help organise my filing.

If you need to group & divide papers within a pocket file, and you need access to them on a daily basis, then thicker (& more expensive) folders are probably what you need. But if, like me, you need access to papers from time to time then these will do nicely - and at a very reasonable cost!

I have just ordered my tenth pack of these. Absolutely brilliant for filing many similar but different A4 sized papers. Open to two sides, so it is really easy to fish papers in and out. They're not sturdy enough to stand up by themselves, but they are way, way, stronger than the flimsy holders intended for use within a ring binder. When you pop ten or so of them into a single filing cabinet slot they are perfect.
